It’s been 5 years since we launched the XiaomiPlanet.sk website and a year later we also launched the sister site ChinaPlanet.sk. In that time, we’ve grown to become one of the top players in the market for Chinese products and coupons, and we’re currently the biggest Slovak affiliate partners for all the Chinese e-shops we work with.
For our visitors, readers, or fans, we try to create valuable and high-quality content that you won’t find anywhere else—and also, thanks to our close cooperation with people in China, we offer exclusive discount coupons.
We’re looking for a full-time person!
So far, only two of us have been working full-time on both websites — me, founder Kristián, and my brother, co-founder of ChinaPlanet.sk, Frederik. Besides that, we have a few talented guys working externally as editors. But we can’t keep up.
Now we’ve decided to take a big step—at least for us—and expand our team with another stable member who will work with us full-time. You can do it from the comfort of your home—location doesn’t matter. But what we care about is work efficiency, since you’ll be responsible for both of our sites.
What will you be doing?
Working on both Xiaomi Planet and China Planet. Creating new articles, updating coupons, managing social media, testing products, writing reviews. We don’t have a name for this position, but you could call it a content manager / editor-in-chief.
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for a versatile person who’s advanced at using a computer, has a good grasp of IT and current technology trends—ideally also of Chinese products that our websites publish about. Your Slovak grammar must be flawless, since you’ll be writing articles and reviews, and knowledge of English is also a must.
An advantage is if you already know how to use the WordPress editorial system, because our sites run on it—but it’s not required. We’ll teach you everything step by step. A huge plus is knowing graphic programs, whether something simple or at least the most well-known one: Photoshop. Day-to-day, you’ll also edit photos for the articles.
We also need you to be independent and flexible, able to adjust your working hours. We won’t watch or micromanage you as long as you do your job. If you can get everything done within 6 hours (it’s possible over time), the rest of the day is yours—on the other hand, if we need you to handle something ASAP in the evening, we expect you to be available.
Who knows—if you’re great, you’ll be a benefit to our company, coming up with new ideas. We’re open to an agreement based on a share of the profit from our companies—but that’s music for the future 🙂
