VIDEO: Flagship Xiaomi Mi 11 smartphone drop protection from heights up to 2 meters

A month has passed since the expected flagship smartphone Xiaomi Mi 11 was unveiled. Even though the biggest device advantages were revealed to us right at the presentation, we’re learning about some of them only now.

A few hours before it went on the market, we brought you a story about the implementation of the most advanced protective glass from Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Enhanced durability is a given, but in a recently published video, we can see these qualities in practice.

Premium durability

The manufacturer has praised the premium durability of its newest addition to the flagship smartphone family on social media. In the video below, you can see several tests where the smartphone is dropped from a certain height, yet it shows no damage at all.

In the video, the protagonist didn’t hesitate to drop the phone first from 79 centimeters, later from 147 centimeters, and finally from as high as 2 meters. After each drop, the smartphone is shown on camera, but with no sign of any damage.

This above-average durability is largely attributed to the protective glass used. On both the back and front, there’s Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, which is up to 2× more resistant to scratches and 1.5× more resistant to cracking than its predecessor.

Even similar demo videos convince us that the Xiaomi Mi 11 smartphone is equipped with very extensive and high-quality features. We’re already looking forward to the upcoming global launch, and as soon as we can, we’ll put the phone through ruthless testing.
