Xiaomi is currently fully focused on September 26, when it will unveil the Xiaomi 13T series. However, the real Xiaomi 14 flagship series could arrive earlier than expected.
The verified insider Digital Chat Station surprised everyone with information, saying on the Chinese social network Weibo that the Xiaomi 14 series will be unveiled before November 11.
An unveiling already in November?
For comparison, the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro models were released in China on December 14, 2022. According to the insider, the popularity of the 13 series is the main reason Xiaomi plans to announce the 14 series sooner.
Another assumption for the earlier release of the Xiaomi 14 series is the announcement of the new flagship processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, scheduled for October 24.
Double 11 shopping holiday
That could theoretically mean that the Xiaomi 14 series will be the first to get this newest processor. It wouldn’t be a big surprise—Xiaomi has been following the same principle for years.
So why should the Xiaomi 14 series come out before November 11? That’s when China hosts a very popular shopping event called Double 11. During this event, the Xiaomi 14 Series could become a real sales hit.
Thinner bezels and a telephoto lens
Compared to the Xiaomi 13 series, there should be even more bezel shrinking around the display, making the smartphones look much more modern.
There are also rumors about using an all‑periscope telephoto lens—the kind we’ve already seen on the foldable smartphone Xiaomi MIX Fold 3—so the flagship phones should have even better cameras in continued cooperation with Leica.
New Android and faster charging
On board, besides the most powerful processor from Qualcomm, we also expect the latest Android 14 together with the MIUI 15 overlay.
The base Xiaomi 14 will have a battery with a capacity of 4 860 mAh, along with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. The more advanced Pro model will get a 5 000 mAh battery with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging.
