Today, Xiaomi held its press conference focused on flagship devices. The result is a new generation of a compact smartphone labeled Xiaomi 15, which improves the cameras, performance, as well as the operating system in HyperOS 2.0.
However, we need to emphasize that this is a Chinese presentation—it's not a global press conference.

The Chinese version is already available to order
Our partner retailer TradingShenzhen has become the first international e-shop offering the latest Xiaomi 15 smartphone. This model is currently available in the Chinese version, which also supports the B20 LTE band. That means the signal will work fully not only in cities, but also beyond them in Slovakia and across all of Europe.
The smartphone comes with a Chinese firmware version that includes only Chinese and English. However, the seller will install all the necessary Google services on the device, which will be fully functional—except for Android Auto, which unfortunately doesn’t work in Chinese versions. Google Pay payments work without any issues.
The new product is available in black, white, silver, green, and purple color options. You can order the device from China with verified duty-free shipping Global Priority, which we tested on many parcels and it works reliably.

Xiaomi 15: The compact model has a 6.36″ LTPO OLED and a new Qualcomm chip
Flagship smartphone Xiaomi 15 continues the traditional Xiaomi design language. The glass-metal “sandwich” comes with a unibody aluminum frame and a rounded design, and it also features a powerful rear camera module with four sensors and a ceramic finish.

Its final weight comes in at 191 grams. Great values also include the width of just 71,2 mm and a thickness of just 8,08 mm. Excellent news is also the presence of IP68 certification with water and dust resistance.
The display of this smartphone has the same diagonal as last year’s model—6.36″. It offers 1.5K resolution, plus a new 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. A big advantage is the even bezels around the display. A new display bending technology at the bottom edge brings us matching, just 1.38 mm edges on all sides. The panel’s maximum brightness is up to 3200 nits.
The latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor takes care of performance. It has eight cores (2 x 4.32 GHz + 6 x 3.35 GHz) and is built on a 3 nm architecture. The chip is also paired with a Qualcomm graphics unit, along with 12 / 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of internal storage.
HyperCore: A new operating system core arrives with HyperOS 2.0
A major change is the new HyperOS 2.0 software update. This system brings a new HyperCore engine, making its debut in this smartphone series. The core uses RAM memory and cache efficiently, but it doesn’t overburden the fast UFS storage. This ensures a secure, smooth system run with fast animations and optimized battery power consumption.
System speed has improved across generations too, as the manufacturer compared live app launch times on the Xiaomi 14 vs Xiaomi 15 series. Naturally, the new generation is the winner. This software will be available not only for Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro mobile phones, but also for smartwatches, tablets, and smart TVs running HyperOS.
Four cameras, optical zoom and 8K video
Xiaomi continues its successful collaboration with the well-known German brand Leica, in the development of Summilux cameras and lenses. The camera module is on the left side, but Xiaomi balanced the weight across the back for better everyday comfort while using the phone.
This time, the main sensor is the 1/1.31″ Light Fusion 900 with a resolution of 50 MPx and an aperture of f/1.62. However, it doesn’t miss out on a 50 MPx ultra-wide camera with an aperture of f/2.2 and a 14 mm focal length.
The trio is completed by a 50 MPx telephoto lens with a 60 mm focal length, f/2.0 aperture, OIS, and special electronic stabilization with Zoom EIS. This telephoto lens delivers an exceptionally large focus range from 10 cm to much larger distances, allowing both telephoto portraits and beautiful close-up shots.
Xiaomi also brings a portrait mode, the Xiaomi AISP 2.0 technology for shots in poor lighting, and support for 8K video. The front selfie camera has a resolution of 32 MPx and can record 4K 60 fps video.
Other features include improved water and dust resistance, with an IP68 certification. In this case, the integrated battery offers a high capacity of up to 5400 mAh.
When compared to its predecessor, Xiaomi 14, which offered 4610 mAh, this is a noticeable upgrade. The smartphone also supports powerful 90 W wired charging, as well as 50 W fast wireless charging, plus its own version of a “Magsafe” charger, meaning magnetic accessories from Xiaomi. The package also includes a fast 90 W charger.
When it comes to connectivity, there’s a new version of the USB Type-C connector, USB 3.2 Gen1, with a theoretical maximum of up to 5 Gbps, Dual SIM 5G, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, dual GPS, and the Chinese version of Xiaomi 15 even supports the 4G LTE B20 band expanded for our market as well!
