A new flagship for 2024, Xiaomi 15 Pro, should get solid upgrades in battery capacity and also fast wireless charging. These are new leaks of information.
Xiaomi 15 Pro: A huge 5400 mAh battery and up to 100 W of wireless charging
New leaks of information have appeared on the Chinese social network Weibo. Besides the fact that we already know some selected technical specifications, tipster Digital Chat Station mentions that the device’s Xiaomi 15 Pro technical prototype is currently using ultra-fast 120 W wired charging. This technology should be complemented by a fast wireless charging feature of up to 100 W.
We also know the planned battery capacity. It should stop at 5400 mAh, and this isn’t an arbitrary value. This capacity is a deliberate decision to make the new flagship model lighter and thinner.
Even though this capacity might seem slightly lower compared to Chinese competitors, the tipster noted that Xiaomi’s battery has higher energy density. For example, the competing Realme GT 7 Pro offers a 6000 mAh battery, but the type and design of the denser 5400 mAh battery in Xiaomi 15 Pro should provide better efficiency for everyday use.
2 to improve display resolution, a 50 MPx camera and Snapdragon 8 Gen 4
Among the other features, we also know the display type of Xiaomi 15 Pro. It should be slightly curved at the sides, deliver very fine 2K resolution, and also include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric security.
As for the mobile cameras, we should be getting a set of three 50 MPx sensors right away. They will be made up of a main, ultra-wide-angle, and periscope sensor with triple zoom. The main camera should be the OmniVision OV50K with the innovative TheiaCel technology, which will ensure excellent dynamic range and high-quality results even in low light.
The module where the sensors are placed should also be updated. This time, the LED flash should be located outside this main camera module.
There’s also information about performance. Xiaomi 15 Pro should include a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip, which hasn’t been officially unveiled yet. However, higher sales pricing is also expected, due to the more expensive manufacturing process of the processor itself.
