Soon, Xiaomi will introduce upgraded versions of the flagship Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro and Ultra. The main differences versus the standard Mi 11 should be improved cameras and charging. The charging area has just gone through new Chinese 3C certification. Last week, Mi 11 Ultra received a TENAA certificate.
Even faster charging
A new charger certification from Xiaomi appeared on the Chinese 3C portal, labeled MDY-12-EF. This was pointed out by the well-known informant Digital Chat Station. The charger has a maximum output power of 20 V and 3,25 A, which after conversion comes to exactly 67 W.
The office behind 3C certification doesn’t mention which Xiaomi model it’s for anywhere. According to leaked information, it will be intended for Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro or Ultra. They carry code names M2102K11AC and M2102K1C.
Last year’s Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro already offered 50-watt wired as well as wireless charging. This year, the value should increase from 50 W to 67 W for both charging methods as well. A pleasant bonus will also be 10-watt reverse wireless charging.
We’re not yet expecting support for Xiaomi’s new wireless charging technology called Mi Air Charge, which the company recently announced. The question is whether Xiaomi will include the charger directly in the box, or whether customers will already have to buy this accessory themselves.
The camera system will also be improved
In our review, we criticized the Xiaomi Mi 11 for lacking a proper telephoto lens. That should change with the arrival of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro and Ultra. According to leaked information, the manufacturer will equip it with a 48-megapixel periscope lens with 5x optical and up to 120x hybrid zoom. This sensor should be the key difference between the Mi 11 Pro and Ultra smartphones.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra/Pro models are expected to bring a 6,8-inch AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and QHD+ resolution. A truly unprecedented element should be a secondary display on the camera module.
