The company Xiaomi brings a new product within its smart home range. It is a 2-in-1 product, specifically a water purifier with hot water dispensing in one. This new gadget also comes at an attractive low price, at least in terms of availability on the domestic Chinese market.
Product 2 in 1: Water purifier with hot water dispensing
The dimensions of this purifier are 182 x 397 x 408 mm, and its model code is MRH112. However, this device is fairly compact and may resemble the size of a capsule coffee machine.
In terms of power, it’s rated at 2150 W (heating at 2100 W), and the pressure the purifier operates at is 0.4 – 0.8 MPa. As for the actual cleaning, the water flow rate is 0.25 liters per minute.
Heating the water is truly instant, and the manufacturer has it warmed up in just 3 seconds, which is much faster than standard electric kettles.
Mobile app and OLED display
The device also offers smart connectivity with the Mijia mobile app, which is known in our region as Xiaomi Mi Home. The water output temperature mode can be set directly in the app with an accuracy of 1 degrees Celsius.
The output temperature ranges from 40 – 95 degrees Celsius, and the output can also be configured for one-button operation directly on the device.
The device offers a composite filtration element and also uses reverse osmosis filtration. The recommended replacement of the filter elements is once a year (paper-wise – after filtering 2000 liters of water).
The purifier also has an eco value and is cheaper compared to buying bottled water. In addition, there are touch buttons and an OLED display that shows information in real time (mode, water temperature, filter lifespan, and more).
Price and availability of the product
The recommended retail price of the device is 1499 Chinese yuan. That translates to €191 / 224 USD at the current exchange rate. However, during the pre-sale period the price is reduced to 1299 yuan, i.e. 165 € / 194 USD. We currently don’t have information about global availability.
