Testing the performance of mobile smart phones on the AnTuTu benchmark probably doesn’t need to be introduced anymore. On our site, we share regular performance testing reviews, but also the records achieved by new smartphones.

Spring is slowly replacing winter, and AnTuTu brings the ranking of the most powerful Chinese smartphones for February / February 2020.
We didn’t doubt the winner for a moment
The statistics were collected for the period from 1.2.2020 to 29.2.2020. The individual scores in the ranking are the average scores calculated from more than 1000 tests for each device in the AnTuTu app version 8.
Here are the most powerful Chinese phones for February / February 2020:
Our results didn’t surprise us at all, and we had known the clear winners for quite a while. But let’s go through it properly step by step. When we look at the TOP 10 ranking, it’s not only the individual smartphone models that are interesting, but also their hardware specs.
We can see that the devices included in the evaluation mostly use Snapdragon processors. The SD865 model dominates, and in the lower spots you’ll find the SD855+ processor. One position was also taken by the Kirin chip 990 5G.
The first and second places rightfully and clearly belong to the current king Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 10, with performance scores of 594 069 and 564 327. Their configuration is the same, but the Pro model achieved a higher score thanks to the larger UFS 3.0 storage capacity. As a result, Mi 10 Pro scored the most points and became the clear winner.
It’s also worth noting that by the end of February, the Xiaomi Mi 10 series received a new MIUI version that includes the latest GPU driver 444. This immediately showed in the test results—however, only right before the ranking deadline. That’s why it’s expected that both Mi 10 models will achieve even better results in the March evaluation.
Competition so far with older hardware
With a significant drop of more than 60,000 points, the third spot went to the smartphone Vivo iQOO Neo 855 Racing (also known as the Speed Edition). This model with an SD855+ processor, 12 GB RAM and 128 GB UFS 3.0 storage earned an impressive 503 407 points.

Right behind it, with a score of 500 852, came the same-brand model Vivo iQOO Pro 5G with the same processor and 8 GB RAM plus 256 GB storage. Vivo smartphones kept their lead over other SD855+ models mainly thanks to software optimization.
The devices use a technology called Turbo Write, HPB technology, and the Monster compilation improvement technology. Together, these fully unleash the hardware’s performance, and with the help of multiple cooling technologies, they can keep the processor running at high frequencies. This allows them to achieve better performance than typical models with Snapdragon 855 Plus.
Interesting results also in the other ranks
Very interesting are positions 5 and 6, where we find OnePlus smartphones—specifically the 7T model and the OnePlus 7T Pro, with almost the same average score of 496 009 and 496 007. The hardware configuration of both devices is the same, which is also reflected in the close results. What’s interesting is that the Pro model falls slightly behind even though you would expect the placements to be reversed.

The last places 7 to 10 belong to these models:
- Vivo NEX 3 5G with 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage – average score 495 579
- Honor V30 Pro 5G with Kirin 990 5G processor, 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage – average score 491 120
- Asus ROG Phone 2 with 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage – average score 489 827
- Realme X2 Pro with 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage – average score 483 370
As we already mentioned, the ranking was compiled from Chinese Android smartphones based on the average score for February 2020. Here too, it is confirmed that not only sufficiently powerful hardware, but also software optimization can deliver a significant performance boost.
