The best photo smartphone of the moment

Today, the manufacturer is focusing on the uniqueness of the camera system that the flagship from Xiaomi will be equipped with. Verified reports have been around for a while now that Mi 10 will feature a 108 MPx primary sensor, already known from the Mi Note 10 model.

When this model hit the market, it immediately took over the ranking of mobile camera ratings DoXMark and became the winner.

With the Mi 10 model, the manufacturer promises even better results that the smartphone will achieve not only thanks to the sensors used, but also thanks to top-notch computing hardware. It dares to go for the #1 spot in DoXMark again, and so far everything suggests it could succeed.

108 MPx in the spotlight

Today we already know that Mi 10 will come with a set of 4 rear cameras, with the primary one being a similarly 108 MPx sensor with a size of 1/1,33″. The exact parameters of the other sensors are not known yet.

However, we know the smartphone will be equipped with optical and electronic image stabilization, complemented by an element of artificial intelligence. AI will take care of the best and most suitable parameter settings for shooting based on evaluating the surrounding conditions.

As Xiaomi states, the real flagship will also be recognized based on the photo equipment—and that’s where the Mi 10 model will stand out. It should also feature an exceptional super night mode as well as a portrait mode. In addition to perfect photos created by the rear camera system, Mi 10 will also deliver high-quality selfies with the option of slow-motion videos at 120 fps.

Professional video, too—in a cinema-film format

Another standout feature the manufacturer is drawing attention to is the recorded video. The smartphone should be able to capture video up to a resolution of 8K, which we haven’t seen yet in the form of Xiaomi smartphones.

Mi 10 promises videos at an almost professional level and even in a possible wide aspect ratio of 2,35 : 1, which is a format similar to cinema film.

But that’s not even close to everything. Of course, the sensor system alone isn’t enough for a perfect result. A powerful piece of hardware will take care of a great photography and video recording experience. Only thanks to it can the smartphone quickly handle large files.

The Snapdragon 865 processor, LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.0 storage work together for a perfectly fast process of shooting, transferring the created photo, and storing it.

Let’s mention the Mi Note 10 model again—it may produce perfect and high-quality shots, but saving high-resolution photos took several seconds. Compared to it, Mi 10 should be “brutally fast.”

A new photo-saving format will speed things up

The new Xiaomi smartphone model also comes with a new photo-saving format. It’s the HEIF format, an efficient image file format based on the HEVC codec. Compared to the original JEPG format, the file size is more than half smaller, while maintaining the same quality ratio.

This improvement will also help speed up work with the created files multiple times.

Beauty lies in simplicity and in the details—and Xiaomi knows that. To show off the performance of their latest smartphone in the photography area, they shared a few shots focusing on bringing the detail closer. As you can see, the zoomed-in part is sharp and preserves the structure of the photographed object in perfect detail.

Once Mi 10 is announced, we’ll send you an email with the specs and price. ?
