Xiaomi Mi Electric Scooter 3: New e-scooter officially unveiled
Xiaomi has officially presented the new electric scooter Mi Electric Scooter 3, which has also appeared in the Mi Home app. Through the app, the scooter receives updates and also displays current ride information. We already know the basic technical specifications and the product’s retail price.
This new generation brings higher power as the main upgrade, which should be enough even for riding on steeper slopes with an angle up to 16°. In addition, the model has been slightly redesigned in terms of its look—orange accents have been replaced by a stylish blue color. There will also be a white-and-gray version with traditional orange details.
Key technical specifications
On the technical specs side, we can look forward to a new electric motor with a rated power of 300 W and up to 600 W. It will deliver a maximum speed of 25 km/h (3 modes – up to 5 km/h, up to 20 km/h and up to 25 km/h).
As for the battery, it has a 7650 mAh capacity (275 Wh) with a total range of up to 30 kilometers, plus protection against overcharging, overvoltage, and more. Charging the battery takes 5.5 hours with the included (71W) charger.
The battery itself weighs 1.6 kilograms and the manufacturer claims up to 500 charging cycles while maintaining at least 70% of the original capacity. The scooter weighs 13.2 kilograms overall, so you can carry it too. It’s suitable for users over 18 years old with a height of 120 – 200 centimeters, and its maximum load capacity is 100 kilograms.
Among the new features is a new “Sleep” mode that can save energy in the battery when it’s not in use and below 30%. It can maintain this capacity for up to 15 days.
In addition, the Mi Electric Scooter 3 features 8.5″ wheels with a larger dual brake disc on the rear wheel, plus anti-slip E-ABS systems on the front wheel. All of this is also combined with a KERS regenerative braking system. It can convert part of the kinetic energy into electricity, which means the user benefits as well.
The well-known folding mechanism has also been improved—it now has a new safety lock and is even sturdier. However, the new scooter design doesn’t only change the color. The manufacturer also added a new way to fold the scooter, so you can unfold or fold it in just 3 seconds.
The retail package includes not only the scooter body, but also accessories such as the power adapter, a T-shaped Allen key, a set of screws, a tire, a list of technical specifications, and also an instruction manual – including riding information.
