Xiaomi together with the tech giant Qualcomm has officially kicked off the 5G era. They collaborated on the new generation of mobile networks, and the development is reaching its peak. 5G networks are coming already this year! At the same time, they unveiled one of the first commercially sold 5G smartphones – Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G.
One of the first 5G smartphones on the market
Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G is officially one of the very first smartphones to support the new generation of mobile networks. 5G networks bring a rapid increase in download speed, thanks to maximum speeds of up to 2 Gbit/s. A 15-minute FullHD video with a size of 256 MB can be downloaded to Mi MIX 3 5G in 1 second.
5G thanks to Snapdragon 855
Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 5G comes with the latest Snapdragon 855 chipset with a new X50 5G modem. And it’s precisely thanks to the new modem that the smartphone can connect to the new generation of networks.
As for the other specifications, they remained unchanged. So it’s still a TOP smartphone with a sliding design, a 6.39″ Super AMOLED display with almost zero bezels, a ceramic build, a 12 MPx dual rear camera, or a 3800 mAh battery with fast charging.
Nice price tag
Xiaomi has always been known for its concept of “honest” pricing for new products. That idea remains the same with the Mi MIX 3 5G. The official price tag for Europe was set at 599 € / ~ 15 500 CZK.
It should go on sale during May / května in selected markets. Availability in Slovakia and the Czech Republic — we’ll find out. If you sign up for our newsletter, you’ll know the price and availability with us first.
