Xiaomi is preparing a revolutionary Mi MIX Alpha model in a new version. With the latest Qualcomm processor

As it seems, the Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi is still not tired of unveiling new smartphone models. Just a few days ago, we got new mid-range models from its sub-brand with the Redmi 10X and Redmi 10X Pro labels. Now, the company is preparing an updated version of the revolutionary model Mi MIX Alpha.

New version of the Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha

The Mi MIX Alpha smartphone became famous mainly for its curved display, which covered not only the front and side edges, but also extended all the way to the back. A limited number of units produced also made deliveries of this revolutionary device harder.

Now we know a photo posted by one of Xiaomi’s employees, pointing to a new variant of the model Mi MIX Alpha.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 865

While the original model offered a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor, the new version will feature an updated octa-core model Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, which is also the brand’s current flagship processor for 2020.

The new version of the revolutionary smartphone should carry a codename, i.e. pre-production label “Draco”, as well as a model number U2E. The mentioned model number will already be equipped with an updated Qualcomm-branded processor.

From the rest of the specs, we didn’t notice a large number of differences compared to the original version. So there won’t be missing a 4050 mAh battery with support for fast 40W charging, up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal storage.

Will it make it to the global market?

A limited model with a bold design and a high retail price has not yet appeared in Xiaomi’s international lineup in its global version.
