Only one day after the launch Xiaomi CC9 Pro, the manufacturer is putting two more smartphones on the market. It’s unclear whether the company is changing its business policy and this will now become normal, or whether it’s a one-off situation before the year’s big shopping rush.

An unexpected move from Xiaomi has become a reality
Even a month ago, no one would have said that by the end of the year we’d get a new smartphone from the Mi Note series—and today we’re here with the officially launched Xiaomi Mi Note 10 and Mi Note 10 Pro. As expected, these phones are the global versions of yesterday’s China-only CC9 Pro that was presented.
Mi Note 10 got the same design, color options, and the same feature set, including the world’s best-rated combination of five cameras.
The new Mi Note 10 measures 157.8 x 74.2 x 9.67 mm and weighs 208 g. As with the CC9 Pro, three color variants were also introduced: Aurora Green, Glacier White, and Midnight Black.
The phone body uses a 3D curved design that makes it look slimmer. The elegant curves on the sides are matched by a large 6.47-inch AMOLED display, which Xiaomi calls the Arc AMOLED display. It offers FullHD+ resolution 2340 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 with 398 ppi pixel density.
Under the display, there’s a new type of optical fingerprint sensor, and in the top cutout you’ll find a 32 MPx front camera.
A Pro version with a more powerful processor? No…
Mi Note 10 also comes with the Snapdragon 730G chipset, which may not be mind-blowing in raw power, but it won’t catch you off guard either. The expected Mi Note 10 Pro version with a more powerful chipset hasn’t been confirmed.
The integrated graphics chip Adreno 618 handles True HDR with extreme realism. The Mi Note 10 model comes with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, while the Mi Note 10 Pro comes with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of memory.
The same 108 MPx penta camera
DxOmark tests confirmed that the combination of five cameras featured in Xiaomi CC9 Pro has no equal among smartphones. The Mi Note 10 and Mi Note 10 Pro also received the same combined penta-camera setup. Just to repeat, here are its specs:
- 5 MPx super-telephoto sensor – a periscope sensor with a four-axis optical stabilization function, featuring 5x optical zoom, 10x hybrid zoom, and 50x digital zoom
- 12 MPx portrait sensor S5K2L7 with a focal length of 50 mm and a pixel size of 1.4 microns. It supports dual-pixel autofocus PD and has an aperture of f / 2.0
- 108 MPx Samsung S5KHMX sensor — the primary camera with quad optical stabilization. It’s a 1/1.33-inch sensor with an aperture value of f / 1.69, pixel size 0.8 µm
- 20 MPx Sony IMX350 CMOS super-wide-angle sensor with a field of view of 117 degrees, aperture f/2.2, and pixel size 1.00 µm
- 2 MPx super-macro lens with a focal length of 1.5 cm
MIUI 11, a massive battery, and a fast charger included in the box
From the moment you take it out of the box, the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 and Mi Note 10 Pro will offer the latest MIUI 11 system. This way, users of the new devices can immediately enjoy a full-featured dark mode, a new minimalist design, an improved Always-On display function, and new nature sounds.
Some reports before the Mi Note 10 launch predicted a smaller-capacity battery. Luckily, that didn’t turn out to be true, and the Mi Note 10 also comes with a 5260 mAh battery. 30 W fast charging can fill it from 0 to 100 in an incredible 65 minutes.
However, Xiaomi surprises again—you’ll get a very fast 30 W charger bundled with the smartphone; it’s included in the standard package!
The audio output from the 3.5 mm jack has been certified to the Hi Res Audio standard, and a speaker with a 1CC large sound chamber takes care of high-quality audio without headphones. The Mi Note 10 offers support for 4G mobile networks including in our B20 band.
Of course, the equipment includes WiFi in standards 802.11a/ac/b/g/n and in 2.4 GHz as well as 5 GHz bands, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and an infrared port. For location services, you’ll find all available navigation systems such as GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, and GALILEO.
The price didn’t surprise you—or did it?
Even before the launch of both smartphones, Xiaomi scared fans with claims about high costs for the built-in penta camera. The price for Europe may be a bit higher than we expected.
