The Xiaomi company is preparing a high-end model of its smart TVs. The new model, labeled Xiaomi Mi QLED TV 4K, will arrive this month and we already know the first technical specifications of this product.
Xiaomi Mi QLED TV 4K: On 16. December 2020
Under the Xiaomi brand, we can find a wide range of products beyond smartphones, tablets, or laptops. These are not partner brands, but products directly under the Xiaomi brand portfolio. Smart TVs are definitely among them too.
Currently, we can see just under two dozen TVs in the current sales lineup. However, the new high-end model labeled Xiaomi Mi QLED TV 4K should be added to the portfolio as early as next week, specifically on 16. December 2020.
We know the key technical specifications
A press conference with the official unveiling of the new TV will take place on 16. December at 12:00. The manufacturer informed us via its official account on the social network Twitter. The conference will be held in India, and the TV will most likely be intended for India only for now.
Xiaomi will also stream this presentation on its other social networks, with the current main slogan: “Quantum Leaps Ahead”. This means the arrival of a QLED panel in the new flagship TV.
The manufacturer has already published an official product page that provides an overview of the key technical specifications. From the name alone, we know we can look forward to 4K resolution. The panel should come with HDR10+ certification and will also support Dolby Vision technology. As for audio, the TV will also support Dolby Audio and the DTS-HD standard.
On the software side, there is the Patchwall system, following the pattern of other Xiaomi TVs. The system will support services like YouTube, Disney+, Hotstar, Netflix, Prime Video, and more.
Universal search, a kids mode, and smart recommendations won’t be missing either. Xiaomi Mi QLED TV 4K will also include an HDMI 2.1 port. It will also offer eARC, ALLM, and AVV1 standards.
Will it be the Mi TV5 Pro with a different name?
If we take the revealed specs of the upcoming Mi QLED TV 4K, into account, there’s a good chance that the upcoming 4K TV will only be a rebranded version of the Mi TV5 Pro model introduced earlier. That TV was announced in China with a 55″ Quantum Dot 4K panel. More details will only be revealed after the manufacturer’s official press conference.
