On 10.8. we paid for the order, on 11.8. we received a message that the parcel had been shipped, and on 13.8. the GLS courier was already ringing our doorbell with the parcel in hand. That’s what you call express delivery from an EU warehouse!
What is it with the vacuum’s name?
Different sellers use different names, so the customer may get confused. This vacuum has the model designation STYJ02YM and is the direct successor to the Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum vacuums. That’s why we chose the Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum 2 designation in our articles.
However, it is not labeled that way elsewhere. In the Mi Home app it is known as Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P, while in Slovak online stores it is sold under the name Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop Pro. In any case, it is the same vacuum model, just with several different names.
In our article, we use a unified name for this vacuum: Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P (STYJ02YM).
Not just vacuuming, but also mopping
Besides improved laser systems, the new version also brings new sweeping and floor mopping options (mop function). In total, up to three cleaning variants will be available together with the mop functions. These will be sweeping and mopping, or just sweeping, or just mopping. Different cleaning variants will also require different accessories.
In vacuuming and mopping mode, the new 2 in 1 waste tank is used, which works as a 200 ml water tank and 300 ml dust box. If you want to use the vacuum only for vacuuming or only for mopping, you’ll need to replace the tank with the version with 550 ml capacity.

Even smarter
Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop Pro includes several smart solutions, all powered by the R16-J computing chip. It also comes with an electrically controlled smart water tank and water pump. The device precisely regulates water output and creates enough pressure to prevent clogging.
The chip integrated into the vacuum can also detect the water level. It intelligently controls the vacuum and won’t move it without water, so it doesn’t damage wooden floors as a protective measure.
Higher suction power and a new laser system
The improved model is equipped with a Japanese motor with an adjustable air duct and suction power of up to 2100 Pa.
It also includes the mentioned laser environment detection system (LDS), which in this version can scan up to a distance of 8 meters.
There is also a mobile app
Through the mobile app, you can set the cleaning route and monitor the cleaning in real time. You can also schedule the cleaning itself without any problems.
After the first cleaning, the Mijia vacuum automatically detects the room that it will offer you to save. So it can recognize rooms.
After that, you can clean specifically based on these detected rooms. You can sort the rooms, name them, and arrange them.
That way, you can customize the cleaning schedule for a specific time and a specific room.
Battery life won’t disappoint
When it comes to the battery life of the new device, the Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop Pro got a smaller 3200 mAh battery compared to the 5200 mAh аккумулятор in the first generation.
However, the vacuum should last for up to 110 minutes of cleaning.
This roughly translates to cleaning a room of up to 180 square meters. When the battery runs out, the vacuum automatically returns to its charging dock.
