Xiaomi Bluetooth speakers are very popular products from the Chinese giant. Recently, we informed you about the launch of the Chinese version of Xiaomi Mi Smart Speaker, which is now coming to Europe as well. It offers Google Assistant, power of 12 W, and costs just 50 €.
Europe with Google Assistant
The European version of the Xiaomi Mi Smart Speaker comes with Google Assistant support, unlike the Chinese version, which has Xiao AI. That’s also where the product name for the Chinese market comes from – Xiaoai Speaker Art.
The official sales in Europe started in Spain, where customers can already place an order. The wireless speaker comes with 12 W of power, a premium design, and voice control.
A great design, quality sound, and voice control
The speaker stands out with a very simple and elegant design. It has an oval shape with 10 531 openings through which the sound travels. The speaker has 12 W of power, and inside you’ll find an amplifier from Texas Instruments. It offers high-quality audio signal reproduction, so you get clean sound without distortion.
It features the DTS label, so the sound should be truly high quality without distortion at any volume.
Just say “Hey Google” and you can give the speaker commands. Play your favorite song, control the volume, or adjust other settings. It’s very easy—you only need to know the basics of English, since Google Assistant doesn’t support Slovak yet.
To recognize voice commands properly, this speaker is equipped with two microphones that can pick up your voice even from a greater distance. You don’t have to be right next to the speaker. If you don’t want to use voice control and you’re concerned about privacy, you can disable the microphones.
Connectivity and other features
When it comes to connectivity, the speaker offers Bluetooth as well as WiFi connection (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz). This way, you can easily connect the speaker to your smartphone or any other device that can stream audio using these technologies. You’ll also find support for Chromecast.
On the top there are touch buttons for manual control, along with a striking LED strip that can change colors. It supports up to 16 million colors.
If you buy two Xiaomi Mi Smart Speakers, you can synchronize them with each other and achieve stereo 2.0 audio output.
Price of Xiaomi Mi Smart Speaker
In Spain, the speaker is sold for 49.99 €. You can find it on Mi.com’s official website. For now, it’s available only in white, but a black version is expected to arrive too.
