Xiaomi is pushing the boundaries again in the smart home appliance space. Their new smart washing machine Xiaomi Mijia Dual Zone Washing Machine Pro Double Wash and Dry 10 kg redefines what healthy, efficient laundry means.

It comes with an innovative solution—two drums in one body, letting you wash your underwear and everyday clothes separately at the same time without changing the total drum capacity. The washer also works as a dryer.
Innovation with two drums
The key new feature is the dual-drum system—a smaller one for underwear and a larger one for everyday clothing. Both drums can be used at the same time or separately. Thanks to independent water inlet and drain, the washing process is completely hygienically separated, eliminating the risk of bacterial transfer and color bleeding.
The washing machine capacity matches a standard 10 kg washer, so it fits even in a typical bathroom / kitchen unit. At the same time, it brings intelligent programs, AI algorithms to optimize power and water consumption, and a modern design with unified control of both drums via a touch panel.
Advanced hygienic washing and gentle drying
Xiaomi has worked on the “Blue Oxygen Care Wash” technology—“cleaning with blue oxygen”—which actively helps with removing stains and yellowing even at low temperatures. The system penetrates deep into the fabrics and breaks down pigments, so you’ll appreciate it for both white and colored laundry.
The large drum dries at a temperature of 46°C, which is ideal, for example, for wool. The small drum dries underwear at 60°C. The washing machine is certified to a medical-grade hygiene level for both drums. High-temperature sterilization is also available at 95°C, along with a special program for women’s underwear.
Powerful hardware and advanced features
Inside the washer is a DD inverter motor with precise angle control, ensuring stable operation and a long service life. Drying is handled by an inverter fan with precise temperature control. There’s also an inverter pump with low noise for night washing without disturbing you.
Optimized spinning reduces residual moisture by up to 23%, making drying faster and more efficient. Spinning also works based on intelligent load balancing and load recognition, minimizing vibrations.
AI functions and smart connectivity
The new Xiaomi model supports the Mi Home ecosystem and AIoT interconnection, allowing you to control the washing machine via the app or by voice through Xiao Ai. With OTA updates, the manufacturer provides regular software improvements.
The AI system can design the optimal wash program on its own based on the type of laundry, season, weather, or the user’s location. The washer also recognizes the load and intelligently dispenses detergent, softener, and water.
Programs for quick and gentle washing
Xiaomi Mijia Dual Zone Washing Machine Pro Double Wash and Dry 10 kg offers quick washing in 12 minutes, which—thanks to pre-mixing detergent with water—ensures an even and gentle clean. Combined with high-pressure spraying, it reaches deep into fibers and speeds up the breakdown of dirt.
The washing machine is also ideal for households with pets—thanks to its high water flow, it can effectively remove hairs from clothes. Hair removal achieves up to 90 % effectiveness. It also includes automatic fabric refresh if you forget to take your laundry out, with an antibacterial effect.
Premium design and practical details
An elegant design in a silver shade of Star Satin Silver with mirror-finish doors and a touch display looks modern and luxurious. The smaller drum doors are shaped like a crescent, and the entire control panel is ergonomically tilted for comfortable everyday use.
Xiaomi hasn’t forgotten about practicality either—once a month is enough to refill the detergent reservoir, so you always have the right amount without manual dosing. The washer also includes programs for easy drying of down jackets, gentle drying for underwear, and a special mode for duvets.
Price and availability: Will we see it in Europe too?
The price of this advanced high-end washing machine in mainland China is around 5499 yuan, which is approximately €680 / 17 000 CZK. It’s not yet known whether it will be available outside the Chinese market, but it’s almost certain that we’ll also get global versions of Xiaomi appliances directly here in Europe soon.
Xiaomi, after all, revealed the big news at its major March 2025 conference: a major breakthrough—that for the first time in its history, it plans to expand its range of large home appliances abroad, outside the domestic Chinese market. It should happen before the end of this year.
