Xiaomi Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 Plus is a new smart air purifier from Xiaomi that is aimed at larger homes and delivers significantly higher performance than standard models. This new product stands out with dual filters, a powerful dual-fan system, a UVC module for reducing bacteria and viruses, and coverage for spaces of up to 91 m².

The manufacturer also equipped it with a range of sensors, app support for Xiaomi Home, and quiet operation, making it suitable not only for the living room, but also for the bedroom.
Extra high performance for large rooms
The biggest advantage of the new model is the new dual-fan system with two filtration units. Thanks to this design, Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 Plus can process up to 810 m³ of air per hour (CADR) and effectively clean spaces with an area of from 53 to 91 m². Xiaomi states that the air in a 10 m² room will refresh in about 1.9 minutes, making it one of the most powerful purifiers in its category.
The construction uses three-sided air intake and a two-sided air outlet, which ensures fast and even air circulation. A practical bonus is the hidden 360° wheels, which let you move the unit easily between rooms without lifting it.
A five-stage filtration system captures dust, allergens, and formaldehyde
The new model uses a multi-layer filtration system consisting of a primary filter, a high-efficiency HEPA filter, special activated carbon to remove formaldehyde, a UVC module, and a layer that creates negative ions. This combination handles not only fine dust particles PM1 and PM2.5, but also pollen, dust mites, pet allergens, unpleasant odors, and volatile organic compounds.
The manufacturer claims up to 98% efficiency for removing formaldehyde over two hours, along with very high success in eliminating pollen allergens, pet dander, and mold. That’s why the purifier can be an interesting choice for allergy sufferers or households with pets.
UVC sterilization and negative ions for even cleaner air
The kit also includes an integrated UVC module that helps reduce bacteria and viruses captured by the filtration system. Xiaomi reports very high efficiency in eliminating multiple types of bacteria, including E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and the H1N1 influenza virus, within one hour.
At the same time, the air is enriched with a high concentration of negative ions, which—together with strong airflow—create a more comfortable environment throughout the home. The result should be fresher air and a better feeling during everyday use.
Five precise sensors monitor air quality in real time
Mijia Smart Air Purifier 6 Plus isn’t just a standard air purifier. It also works as an air quality monitor thanks to up to five separate sensors. They track the concentration of PM1 and PM2.5 particles, the amount of larger dust particles, as well as the temperature and humidity in the air.
All measured data is displayed on a large LCD screen directly on the device and, of course, in the Xiaomi Home mobile app as well. This way, users can view air quality history, plan automatic scenarios, or simply check the remaining filter lifespan.
Smart features and very quiet operation
The new model supports full remote control via the Xiaomi Home app. There’s also automation creation, scheduling, and voice control through Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. The purifier can automatically turn on when you get home, switch to night mode, or respond to worsening air quality.
You’ll also like the quiet operation—in night mode it reaches only about 19.4 dB(A). That way, it won’t disturb your sleep or work. Xiaomi also thought about easy maintenance, since the device automatically alerts you when it’s time to replace the filters.
