As we already know, the new generation of Xiaomi’s foldable smartphone will be unveiled next month. For now, however, the smartphone Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 has passed the 3C certification, revealing several new pieces of information.
Certified in unit 3C
In the 3C certification unit, this foldable smartphone appeared under the model number 2308CPXD0C, meaning a model intended for the domestic Chinese market.
The certification revealed that the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 will be bundled with a 67W adapter. In this case, there will be no change, because the previous generation also supported the same power output.
High-end cameras
The area where Xiaomi will definitely make progress is cameras. Basically, you’ll get the same camera configuration as in the flagship phone Xiaomi 13 Ultra.
That means the main 50-megapixel camera with a 1-inch Sony IMX898 sensor and another 3 sensors Sony IMX858, which will be used for the ultra-wide camera and a pair of telephoto cameras.
However, this information hasn’t been confirmed by Xiaomi itself, so at the moment it’s only speculation. If that’s true, then the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 will be the best camera phone on the market.
Familiar design
Besides that, we expect a very similar design to the Xiaomi MIX Fold 2, but it’s possible that the design of the camera module will change to better fit the current design language of the Xiaomi 13 series.
Xiaomi will also use the latest top hardware, namely the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The internal display should have a 8.02-inch diagonal, and the external one 6.56 inches.
There’s even talk that the internal selfie camera will be hidden under the display, following the example of the smartphone Xiaomi MIX 4. Another novelty will be the Hover Mode, meaning that the MIUI 14 environment will actively react to the state of the inner display.
