Xiaomi has several high-quality products in its portfolio across different categories. A new addition among computers is the desktop PC Ningmei CR100, which offers an excellent price-to-performance ratio.
With its equipment, the computer clearly targets a specific group of users—here, people with simple and undemanding needs, who use the PC for office work or for watching multimedia content.
The new computer was launched on the well-known Xiaomi Youpin platform, and as the name suggests, it is produced by a company called Ningmei. This is just one more of many partner brands for Xiaomi.
Compact, yet powerful
The new Ningmei CR100 model is designed with a simple, understated look. The PC is so compact that its size can be compared to today’s smartphones. The PC dimensions are 192 x 188 x 54 mm and the weight is 760 grams.
At the heart of the new mini PC is a quad-core processor, the Intel J4105, designed for less demanding tasks. The processor frequency is 1.50 GHz, but the maximum boost can push performance up to 2.50 GHz.
The processor is supported by 8 GB RAM of type DDR4 and a 256 GB SSD. Thanks to these specs, you won’t notice any slowdowns while using the operating system or streaming your favorite movies online. Of course, this isn’t a gaming machine.
If you decide to watch a video or listen to music on the computer, the pair of built-in front speakers is a great fit. You shouldn’t expect premium audio output, but for everyday viewing, the speakers are fully sufficient.
Reliable cooling is handled by a fan, while versatile ventilation grilles help exchange warm air. You definitely don’t need to worry about high temperatures.
The front of the Ningmei CR100 PC features six connectors. Their layout includes a SD card reader, a microphone and headphone input, two USB 3.0 ports, and modern USB Type-C is also included.
On the back, we’ll again find an input for a microphone and headphones / speakers, another pair of USB 3.0 ports, Ethernet port, HDMI connector, VGA input, and the power connector for the PC itself. The connectivity options are therefore truly rich.
It surprises with its price
The Ningmei CR100 is currently available for pre-orders on the Xiaomi Youpin crowdfunding platform for 1499 yuan, which comes to under €188 / $211 after conversion. The price is really great. However, the price applies only to residents of China, and for now it’s available only in the home country.
