Xiaomi isn’t done with new updates for today either, and through its social networks this Chinese manufacturer also revealed the hardware of an upcoming smartphone from its sub-brand POCO, under the name POCO X7 Pro.
Such massive performance will be offered by the POCO X7 Pro
The first information about the upcoming device POCO X7 Pro also includes a glimpse of the back panel. It will feature rounded edges and a distinctive module for the rear cameras. Naturally, the iconic look in a black-and-yellow colorway won’t be missing either.
From the technical specs, we know it will include a powerful processor from MediaTek. Specifically, this is the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra, which has eight cores, and it’s also paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. This processor will debut in a global smartphone for the very first time, so POCO will be responsible for its launch.
As for the main sensor among the cameras, it will offer a resolution of up to 50 MPx. The sensor used should be the well-known Sony IMX882, which provides hybrid optical image stabilization + electronic image stabilization. It delivers up to 65% improved light throughput in shots, and you also won’t be missing AI algorithms from the manufacturer to optimize your photos.
A very important part of the equipment is also the integrated battery. It will grow significantly from one generation to the next. In the POCO X7 Pro, it will be up to 6000 mAh, which we’ve only very rarely seen in standard smartphones on the market. In addition, ultra-fast wired charging with the HyperCharge label won’t be missing, with a maximum power of up to 90 W. We don’t yet have any further information about whether a charger is included in the box.
Price and availability of the new POCO smartphone
POCO will present its lineup—i.e., the POCO X7 and POCO X7 Pro,—at its own event on January 9, 2025, at 13:00 your time. The official retail price in individual configurations or availability in stores is not yet known. More details will be revealed only during the press conference.
