Buy on sale: Xiaomi Router 7000 is a powerful router for 2023 that can connect up to 600 devices

Our favorite Chinese tech giant Xiaomi in May 2023 introduced an advanced model of a powerful Wi-Fi router called Xiaomi Router 7000. It has 7 antennas, a unique design, and a capacity of up to 600 devices.

Best price so far on AliExpress

A complete newcomer among routers for 2023, Xiaomi Router 7000 entered international sales through the well-known platform AliExpress. Thanks to the current clearance sales, you can use a discount coupon that will push the price even lower.

We also consider it a big advantage: customs-free 13-day delivery via the already proven Aliexpress Standard Shipping, so you won’t pay any customs fees.

💡Version info: Before you buy, you should know that the router is available only in the Chinese version, which means the admin interface is in Chinese. However, the mobile app is in English, and with the app you can fully configure the router. The advantage of the Chinese version is a stronger signal, since European versions are regulated due to bandwidth limitations. The Chinese version has no such limitations.

Buying on AliExpress for the first time?

This process is done through the AliExpress mobile app, where most people shop. Two things matter: don’t use Buy now and enter the coupon only in the order summary in the Promo code field. After you click Pay now, you can’t add it anymore.

1. Copy the code and click GET THE DISCOUNTIn our article, copy the coupon and click the button GET THE DISCOUNT. The link will take you directly to the product in the AliExpress app.
2. Use Add to cart, not Buy nowOn the product card, scroll down and click Add to cart. Don’t use the Buy now button—this skips the cart, so later you won’t have a place to enter the coupon. Before that, make sure the variant is correct: color, version, and whether it ships from an EU warehouse.
3. Continue to Checkout via the cartA pop-up will appear: Added to cart!—tap Check it out. If it disappeared, open the cart using the icon in the bottom-right corner. In the cart, check the product and quantity, then tap the red Checkout button. Only the items marked with the red circle are included.
4. Fill in your address and card, then look for Promo codeIn the order summary, first enter the delivery address and payment card at the top. Below that, there’s a line Promo code — expand it with the arrow on the right.

5. Paste the code and confirm ApplyIn the field Promo code paste the copied code and click the black Apply. The code is case-sensitive and must not contain spaces.

6. Check your savings and payIn the section Summary expand the line Saved — you’ll see the applied coupon there as AliExpress coupons/codes. Only when Total is really lower, click Pay now.

Apply the discount again in the order summary. After you click Pay now, you can’t add a coupon anymore. If Apply shows an error, the code has either expired, doesn’t apply to your item, or your order doesn’t meet the minimum amount.

Store Coupon also belongs in the same field. — a coupon from the seller itself, which isn’t always available and changes day to day. It can’t be combined with an AliExpress coupon, so try both and go with the one that gives you more. Coins are added automatically.

Xiaomi Router 7000: 14 nm Wi-Fi router with capacity for 600 devices

A powerful Wi-Fi router is going on sale under the name Xiaomi Router 7000. The matte black color finish is paired with up to 1 GB RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. It comes with four 2.5G network ports, and the manufacturer claims the router can handle access for up to 600 devices at the same time.

An integrated Qualcomm IPQ 9554 processor will take care of smooth operation. It supports Networking Pro 620, meaning a tri-band networking platform also known as Wi-Fi 7, and it can handle up to six data streams. The processor is built using a 14 nm manufacturing process, with four Cortex-A73 cores running at up to 2,2 GHz. In this case, however, the manufacturer has limited the clock speed to 1,5 GHz.

Up to 7 external antennas and software acceleration for Xiaomi smartphones

When it comes to speed, Xiaomi Router 7000 has two high-performance signal amplifiers built into the 2.4 GHz frequency band. This band has a theoretical speed of 1376.1 Mbps. But there’s also a 5 GHz band with a theoretical speed of 5764.8 Mbps. It also supports dual WAN / LAN up to 5 Gbps aggregation.

The Wi-Fi router uses seven external antennas and 2 internal antennas. They are split in a ratio of 4 x single-frequency antenna for 2,4 GHz, 4 x single-frequency antenna for 5 GHz, and one NFC antenna for fast pairing.

It also includes acceleration that’s specific to Xiaomi devices. It intelligently recognizes Xiaomi / Redmi mobile phones and opens an exclusive channel to boost gaming performance. The router also supports software acceleration for PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, PC, mobile phones, and other devices to reduce latency and prevent game titles from freezing.

What sets this new release apart from its predecessors is the ability to upgrade to the Wi-Fi 7 standard. Official support for this standard will come in the future. However, even without this upgrade, it’s still one of the most powerful routers on the market for dozens to hundreds of simultaneously connected devices.

How do you like the new router from the Chinese company Xiaomi? If you have any other questions about the integrated components or the sales price of this smartphone, feel free to write them below in the discussion under the article.
