Xiaomi has a product in its portfolio that has been selling for years in the tens of millions of units—and nobody has really managed to compete with it properly. We’re talking about the Smart Band fitness bands series, and its eleventh generation is official. Xiaomi Smart Band 11 focused on two things: the body you can practically feel anything on your wrist, and sleep tracking that goes beyond just how long you slept.

A wristband that’s only 9,99 millimeters

The biggest visible change is in the dimensions. The band’s body is 9.99 mm thick and the module itself weighs 15.58 grams, a value at which most people stop noticing that there’s anything on their wrist. Xiaomi also rounds the sides into a more pronounced curve, so the transition between the body and the strap looks like a single piece.

In front, you’ll find a 1.72-inch AMOLED display with bezels that are two millimeters wide on all four sides. Peak brightness has gone up to 2000 nits — compared to the previous generation, which topped out at 1500 nits, this is a noticeable difference exactly when you need it most: in direct sunlight while running or cycling.

Sleep HRV and AI that tells you what to do

The health features received the biggest upgrade. Starting now, the wristband measures heart rate variability (HRV) during sleep—an indicator commonly used to estimate recovery and stress load. The results don’t just stay as numbers in a chart—Xiaomi also adds AI sleep analysis that interprets the data and offers specific recommendations.

The image above shows the sleep report from the previous Smart Band 10 model—exactly how the new interface with HRV will look, Xiaomi hasn’t shown in detail yet. In addition to sleep, the band continues to track heart rate, blood oxygenation, stress, and women’s health. It handles over 150 sports modes and is water-resistant with a 5ATM rating. The Gizmochina website notes that before the launch, there was also talk of a standalone GPS module and a 120Hz panel—but neither of these is mentioned in Xiaomi’s official materials, so these leaks have not been confirmed.

Four versions and the first full-metal Smart Band

This time, Xiaomi didn’t introduce just one model—it launched all four at once. Alongside the base model and the NFC version, there’s a known ceramic edition and a brand-new addition: the unibody all-metal version, with a body made from a single piece of metal. The strap lineup has expanded too: in addition to silicone, you now get a silk knitted strap, a leather band, and a magnetic fluoro-rubber strap.

We already know the full price list, though for now only for China: the base model starts at 289 yuan in the launch promo (typically 299). The NFC version will cost 339 yuan (typically 349), while both the ceramic and all-metal editions are priced the same at 399 yuan. In terms of euro conversion, that’s roughly €35 to €48. Reservations started on September 3, and the official sales launch is September 7 at 10:00 China time—however, according to an official note, the all-metal and three-color ceramic versions will be added only in the second half of September.

HyperOS Premiere 4 and iPhone-friendly approach

Smart Band 11 is the first device with HyperOS 4 on board. In practice, this means access to the connected devices hub directly from the band, so from your wrist you can control Mi Home appliances and selected Xiaomi EV features. The NFC version also supports offline payments and virtual access cards.

What’s interesting is how much space Xiaomi has given to collaboration with Apple’s ecosystem. The band supports notifications from two devices paired at the same time and can connect to Shortcuts in iOS, with the manufacturer promising more compatible features. Battery life stays at 21 days in standard mode. When the new product will reach Europe, Xiaomi hasn’t commented yet—though for previous generations, it took anywhere from weeks to months.
