Xiaomi Smart Band 8: Here are the technical specifications
Xiaomi Smart Band 8 as the name of the new product is something you may already know. This fitness tracker has been sold for several weeks on the Chinese market. Now it’s coming to the global market too, with a design based on its predecessors. It features an NCVM metal-textured frame. Users can choose between a gold or graphite-black color variant.
The construction also offers 5ATM dust and water resistance. On the front you’ll find a 1,62″ AMOLED high-resolution display with a sharpness of 326 ppi. It comes with more than 200 pre-set watch faces, including options with game-themed designs.
150 sports modes, Pebble Mode and 16 days on a single charge
The new strap design with quick release offers different materials and patterns, including braided leather, checked, double wrap, and a stainless-steel chain option. However, the standard version in the box includes a standard silicone strap in black.
The device offers more than 150 sports modes, as well as all-day heart-rate monitoring in real time, blood oxygen level monitoring (SpO2), sleep monitoring, heart-rate monitoring, and menstrual cycle tracking.
A new feature is “Pebble Mode”, where you can attach the band to a shoe buckle to get detailed running data and evaluate proper running posture to improve performance. Replacement straps and accessories for the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 are available from our partner.
For a smooth user experience, the new generation is powered by the Apollo 4 Blue Lite chip. The integrated battery offers a capacity of 190 mAh, allowing you to enjoy up to 16 days of battery life on a single charge (with standard use). There’s also fast charging, which reduces the total charging time. You’ll reach full capacity in just 60 minutes.
Price and availability of the new Xiaomi fitness band
The new fitness tracker called Xiaomi Smart Band 8 starts selling in its basic package with a black silicone strap. This also applies to our Slovak market, starting from 26.9.2023 via Xiaomi’s official distribution. The official retail price through Xiaomi channels is €45.90.
