The popular fitness bracelet Smart Band by Xiaomi will soon be getting its 8th generation. Xiaomi Smart Band 8 is already in mass production. And even though there hasn’t been an official presentation of this product yet, leaks have already made their way onto the internet.
Xiaomi Smart Band 8 will be unveiled in the coming period
February is looking pretty busy for Xiaomi, but the pace doesn’t seem to slow down for the Chinese manufacturer. A well-known tipster with the nickname Mukul Sharma has shared his leaks about the upcoming fitness band Xiaomi Smart Band 8. This model has reportedly already started mass production, and its official launch is expected soon.
Of course, these leaks rule out a launch alongside the Xiaomi 13 series at the end of February 2023. A more realistic estimate would be sales starting in the range of April / May 2023.
The key generation of the fitness band
As many of you surely remember, the last three generations of this popular Smart Band bracelet were launched in the first half of their respective years. This 8th generation could continue this trend as well, which the aforementioned leaks also suggest.
Right now, everything suggests that the new Xiaomi Smart Band 8 will be featured at the press conference together with the highly anticipated premium smartphone Xiaomi 13 Ultra. The press event for these products is expected to take place in the second quarter of this year, which wouldn’t be unusual given the brand’s strategy.
For now, we don’t know the exact technical specifications of the upcoming fitness band. Some rumors point to a bigger screen size compared to Xiaomi Smart Band 7. Advanced Bluetooth connectivity and even more accurate measuring sensors should also be there. However, all of this is still speculation, and we’ll need to wait a few more weeks for confirmation.
