Various interesting updates are coming to the MIUI interface pretty often. Developers are increasingly trying to optimize the system as best as possible for convenient, simple, and uninterrupted everyday use.
One of the features that should now make its way to the MIUI 12 interface is intelligent charging optimization. We already know this feature from other smartphone makers, but Xiaomi has decided to implement it only now.
In the nick of time
The Chinese giant Xiaomi is pushing the limits of both wired and wireless fast charging more and more. For example, the flagship smartphone Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra unveiled recently supports up to 67 W of wired and wireless charging.
High charging performance, as you probably suspect, isn’t quite ideal for preserving the battery’s lifespan for as long as possible. That’s exactly why the MIUI developers decided to bring a useful feature into the interface—one that will definitely improve the battery accumulator’s lifespan.
A well-known developer from the XDA Developers forum—kacskrz—found details and messages related to a new feature in the interface code. It can intelligently optimize charging. This is possible thanks to advanced algorithms that first need to be “tuned” to our lifestyle.
How will it work?
Let’s say the owner of a smartphone puts the phone on the charger every evening at around 10 PM and disconnects it the next morning at 6 AM. So this new charging optimization will know when it needs to be fully charged, and based on that, it can adjust the maximum charging power to improve battery lifespan.
This new feature looks really great, and we’re already looking forward to Xiaomi officially rolling it out. Most likely, you’ll get this feature along with an update to the interface version 12.5.
