Buying on AliExpress for the first time?

This process is done through the AliExpress mobile app, where most people shop. Two things matter: don’t use Buy now and enter the coupon only in the order summary in the Promo code field. After you click Pay now, you can’t add it anymore.

2. Use Add to cart, not Buy nowOn the product card, scroll down and click Add to cart. Don’t use the Buy now button—this skips the cart, so later you won’t have a place to enter the coupon. Before that, make sure the variant is correct: color, version, and whether it ships from an EU warehouse.
3. Continue to Checkout via the cartA pop-up will appear: Added to cart!—tap Check it out. If it disappeared, open the cart using the icon in the bottom-right corner. Apply the discount again in the order summary. After you click Pay now, you can’t add a coupon anymore. If Apply shows an error, the code has either expired, doesn’t apply to your item, or your order doesn’t meet the minimum amount.

We couldn’t resist and we ordered them too

The Xiaomi Watch S1 Active smartwatches also caught our attention, and we decided to buy them. Our order was made from the DHgate shopping portal from the seller “mi668 Store”, who offered the watches from a German warehouse. We processed the payment on 19. April, and that very day we received a message about the shipment being sent.

The delivery itself was extremely fast and took only 2 days! Not even some Slovak or Czech e-shops deliver that quickly. The package was delivered by the SPS courier.

So far, we’ve only had time to unbox and try the watches. Right away, however, they really impressed us and offer a wide range of features. During the first setup, you need to pair the watches with your smartphone via the Mi Fitness app; otherwise, the watches won’t work.

What’s interesting is that immediately after turning them on, you can choose a Czech language, which stays enabled on the watches even after pairing with the phone where Slovak is set. Some Xiaomi watches/straps previously couldn’t do this.

The watches are fairly lightweight and their construction is made of hardened plastic. The low weight is an advantage during sports, when you won’t even feel them on your wrist. We also appreciate the beautiful colorful AMOLED display, which achieves truly high brightness values.

Sportier design and AMOLED display

The model will be available in three color options – Moon White, Ocean Blue and Space Black. The watch dimensions are 45.6 x 47.3 x 11 mm and the weight is only 36.3 grams. The strap is the standard 22 mm, so there won’t be any problem replacing it with any other strap.

On the right side, you’ll find two control buttons with Home and Sport labels. One takes you to the watch home screen, and the other provides quick access to sports activities.

The frame itself isn’t metal, but is made from a special material called Polyamide, which is also reinforced with fiberglass. The display is covered by tempered protective glass. The entire construction is water-resistant according to certification 5 ATM.

Since we’re talking about the display: it’s made with AMOLED technology, so you can enjoy vivid colors, great deep blacks, and above-average readability in direct sunlight. The diagonal is 1.43 inches with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz.

NFC payments, call support, and Amazon Alexa

The watches have their own operating system, so Xiaomi didn’t use the popular Wear OS from Google. The interface has plenty of animations, colorful icons, and there’s also support for the Czech language. Slovak may come in some future update. You’ll also appreciate the built-in microphone and speaker for calls directly through the watch. This way, you can also use the built-in assistant Amazon Alexa.

The watches themselves have Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth version 5.2. GPS is also included, with GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS, and QZSS. Great news is the presence of a NFC chip, just like we already know from the Xiaomi Band 6 NFC smart band.

The watches currently support NFC payments with Mastercard cards. We can’t confirm yet whether the Curve service is also available, where you can add any additional cards, such as VISA.

The sensor on the bottom of the watch reliably measures heart rate, blood oxygenation SpO2, and sleep. Smartwatches can measure up to 117 sports activities.

Great battery life on a single charge

The manufacturer claims up to a 12-day battery life on a single charge. When measuring activity using GPS, it’s a 30-hour battery life. You charge the watch with a magnetic wireless charger that fully charges it in about two and a half hours.
