This process is done through the AliExpress mobile app, where most people shop. Two things matter: don’t use Buy now and enter the coupon only in the order summary in the Promo code field. After you click Pay now, you can’t add it anymore.

70mai Rearview Dash Cam S500: 3K camera and a touch display

The new 70mai Rearview Dash Cam S500 model brings a lot of improvements over the previous versions. The dimensions of this device are limited to 265.54 x 74.85 x 38.3 mm. The construction includes a rotating lens to adjust the image to the angle you want. And you can mount the camera to your standard rearview mirror using position-adjusting plastic straps.

Physical buttons while driving were rather uncomfortable to use. That’s why this time the manufacturer switched from physical controls to touch. It’s handled by a large, up to 9.35″ fully laminated IPS display. It shows driving information, and you can also play back the camera footage on it.

The camera is integrated directly into the rearview mirror and delivers high resolution of up to 3K (2592 x 1944 pixels). The built-in sensor is labeled Sony IMX 675, and it also supports Sony STARVIS 2 technology. The lens focal length is f/1.8, and your video recordings are captured at 30 fps.

This sensor is also complemented by a secondary Full HD camera placed for recording backwards. In the smart mirror settings, you’ll find a loop recording option with lengths of 1 minute, 2 minutes, or 3 minutes. In addition, there’s also HDR technology support and an “Anti-flicker” function to prevent flickering.

Viewing angle up to 138°, HDR content, and voice control

In the features of this car camera, you’ll find dual-channel HDR recording (front and rear camera), as well as a 24/7 standby mode powered by the Super Capacitor 5.4 V 5.0F backup battery. It records automatically when there’s movement or an impact—for example when parking or in an accidental incident. A wide viewing angle helps too, stopping at 138°.

Another advantage is support for voice control: capturing photos, starting video recording, switching between the front/rear camera, or turning the display on/off. You can also use night mode or several software display modes that you activate with gestures.

Besides voice commands, you can also connect it to the manufacturer’s mobile app. It gives you not only content viewing, but also quick management of your recordings.

There’s also a “Multi-view” mode for combined viewing of recordings from the front and rear car cameras. You’ll appreciate it, for example, when parking in a narrow parallel spot. You can also save your recordings to a microSD memory card (the manufacturer requires a Class 10 microSD card). However, it’s not included in the package.

Alternative power supply is a set for connecting directly to your vehicle’s electrical wiring. However, this special hardware kit must be selected separately—in the corresponding version—from the seller when you buy the standalone smart mirror. One advantage can be, for example, automatic rear-camera activation when you shift into reverse.

In the retail package, you’ll find the rearview mirror 70mai Rearview Dash Cam S500 itself, complemented with a rear camera, along with original accessories directly from the manufacturer.

This includes the wiring for connecting the cameras (5,5 m), a power cable with microUSB (3,5 m), a car-cigarette-lighter connector (12 V), a set for sticking and mounting the cameras, a pair of screws, or a small pry tool. You also get a brief user manual — as usual — in English.
