The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi is preparing its global smartphone lineup under the name Xiaomi 13T. It has already appeared online in the form of an unboxing video—right alongside the key technical specifications.
Xiaomi 13T: Looks like a more premium sibling
Let’s start with the phone’s design, which not only draws from the Chinese series Redmi K60, but also looks a bit like the global Xiaomi 13 Pro. In the video below you can see three rear cameras, as well as an LED flash.
On the right side, you’ll find the volume buttons plus the device power button, and on the front there’s then a display with a cutout for the front camera. At the bottom of the device there’s one of the two stereo speakers, a USB Type-C port, and a SIM card slot. The unboxing video also reveals that the smartphone has a 67 W fast charger.
These are the expected technical specifications
On the front, the Xiaomi 13T should feature a 6.67″ AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution and a high refresh rate up to 144 Hz. This panel will offer a maximum brightness of 2600 nits and an aspect ratio of 20:9.
Performance is handled by an octa-core processor MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultra, which is also complemented by a graphics chip Mali-G610 MC6. The RAM capacity will be 8/12 GB (depending on the configuration) and then fast internal storage of 256 GB. The operating system will be Android 13, topped with the current MIUI 14 software skin.
Rear side, as we could see in the video, is home to a trio of cameras. The main one has a resolution of 50 MPx (Sony IMX707) and is also paired with a 50 MPx telephoto lens (OmniVision OV50D) and a 13 MPx ultra-wide sensor (OmniVision OV13B10). The front “selfie” camera has a resolution of 20 MPx (Sony IMX596).
IP 68 certification, 67 W charging, and availability for Europe
The build itself also stands out with increased resistance to water and dust, certified as IP 68. It also has an integrated NFC chip for mobile payments and an under-display fingerprint sensor. The 5000 mAh battery will support fast 67 W charging. And when it comes to color options, you can look forward to black and alpine blue.
As expected, we should see the new pair of Xiaomi 13T and Xiaomi 13T Pro aimed at the European market already during the first week of September. However, the company hasn’t officially announced the press conference date or the launch date for these devices yet.
