The marketing chief of Xiaomi and the general director of the Redmi brand, Wang Teng Thomas, officially announced the arrival of the new smartphone series Redmi Note 14 in a post on the Chinese social network Weibo. In his post, he highlighted three main areas the new series will be built around: durability, water resistance, and software support.
An elegant design with a trio of sensors
The post also included a device render based on the key points the manufacturer focused on this time, which officially reveals the design of the new series. The revealed design only confirms the previous leaks and shows two slightly different designs, which could mean at least two versions of this smartphone are coming: Note 14 and Note 14 Pro.
Based on this reveal, we can spot a symmetrical camera island made of a trio of sensors and an LED flash, which is clearly the dominant element on the back of the smartphone. The device body itself has a very elegant and modern look, with a slight rounding on the back that helps improve the phone’s grip.
The expected mid-range king
The Xiaomi brand director, Wang Teng Thomas, also mentioned a collaboration with China’s largest non-governmental humanitarian organization, Blue Sky Rescue, which will be the official partner of the new Redmi Note 14 series.
He pointed out that this collaboration is primarily a representation of the “King Kong” quality of this generation of smartphones, which were also tested in the field during real rescue operations.
The foundation of the upcoming Redmi Note 14 series will be achieving balance between performance and durability—something especially important to customers who prioritize the reliability of their device without compromises in key features. So we can expect this series to rule the mid-range smartphone segment.
Price and availability
The price of the new smartphones or the exact date of their presentation is not known yet. However, Wang Teng Thomas revealed that the launch on the home Chinese market will happen as soon as next week. For the global presentation, we’ll have to wait a bit longer.
