One of Xiaomi’s most anticipated smartphones has passed important certifications. The reveal is just around the corner

The POCO brand is preparing to expand its lineup with another powerful smartphone. The model in question is the POCO F7, which has recently been certified by multiple authorities, including the FCC, BIS, IMDA, and most recently also NBTC. These certifications suggest that its launch is already right around the corner.

The new device carries model codes 25053PC47G for the global version and 25053PC47I for the Indian variant. Everything points to it being a rebranded model of the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, recently unveiled in China.

POCO F7 has already obtained the most important certifications

POCO F7 with the model number 25053PC47G has received approval from the FCC authority, suggesting that the device will be launched on the global market soon. Recently, its Indian version with the model number 25053PC47I was certified by the BIS authority.

Most recently, the phone received approval from Thailand’s certification platform NBTC, which effectively confirmed that the model 25053PC47G will be launched as POCO F7. For comparison, the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro carries the model number 25053RT47C. So it’s confirmed that the POCO F7 traces its roots directly to the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro model, which was introduced in its home market in China at the end of April.

An exceptional display and a modern design

The POCO F7 should come with a large 6.83″ flat OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. You’ll also get high brightness, great colors, and smooth animations. A modern design is expected with a flat front and a metal frame that will deliver not only a premium look, but also improved durability. The device should receive IP68/IP69 certification, meaning protection against both water and dust.

From the front view, the first images show the typical POCO design, but we can expect changes compared to the previous F6. The selfie camera will be 20 MPx and placed in the center of the top part of the display in the form of a cutout.

Next-gen performance

When it comes to performance, you can look forward to a brand-new Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, which should be a great choice for everyone who wants top-tier performance at an affordable price. This chipset is made using a modern process and will deliver high performance even for demanding games. It will work together with the new system HyperOS 2.0, built on Android 15.

The device has already gone through multiple certifications, confirming 5G connectivity, Wi‑Fi 802.11ax/be, Bluetooth, NFC, and broad band support. Thanks to that, it shouldn’t be a problem to use it in most regions around the world.

A big battery with fast charging

The POCO F7 is expected to offer two battery versions — the global model should get 6550 mAh, while the Indian version should be even larger, up to 7550 mAh. Both models should support 90 W fast charging, which is above average for this class. If these details are confirmed, it will be one of the best-equipped smartphones in terms of both battery life and charging.

A battery paired with an optimized system and an energy-saving display promises a very long runtime on a single charge, which is a big advantage for demanding users, gamers, and travelers alike.

High-quality cameras with optical stabilization

The main camera will feature a 50 MPx sensor with OIS (optical image stabilization), paired with an 8 MPx ultra-wide sensor. The selfie camera will already have the aforementioned 20 MPx. Since this is a model derived from the Chinese Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, we can expect excellent results in daylight as well as at night.

The camera setup could also add advanced features such as night mode, AI detail enhancement, or various portrait and panorama modes—making the POCO F7 a very capable mid-range photography phone.

When will we get it?

The POCO F7 launch is expected on the market as early as June 2025, both for India and the global market. In Europe, we expect the price to be somewhere around 399 €. Given the specs, this should be a highly competitive model that could also trouble competitors from OnePlus, Honor, and Samsung.
