That Xiaomi is actively working on developing a new version of its own MIUI interface, we’ve known for a long time. However, we still don’t have many details about the expected MIUI 11 system. The development head did, though, share some features that the new Xiaomi system version will bring with fans on his Weibo profile.
New design and better battery life
Besides the fact that MIUI 11 will bring performance and speed improvements, it will also look even better. You’ll get a new icon design on the home screens. The icons are said to have been redesigned from the ground up, and the designers worked on them hard. Liu Ming, the head of MIUI development, believes fans will like the new design.
Another new feature in MIUI 11 will be the ultra power-saving mode. In this mode, all smartphone features are disabled except for making calls and SMS messages. The system switches to a black-and-white mode, significantly reducing battery consumption. A super feature for emergencies, when you don’t have a charger available and need to “get through” a few more hours with your phone.
An awesome extra will also be automatic screenshot deletion as soon as you share it. Many users will love this feature, because lots of screenshots are created just so we can share them with our friends. Support for dark mode will also be added for even more system apps.
