Buying on AliExpress for the first time?

This process is done through the AliExpress mobile app, where most people shop. Two things matter: don’t use Buy now and enter the coupon only in the order summary in the Promo code field. After you click Pay now, you can’t add it anymore.

  1. Copy the code and click GET THE DISCOUNTIn our article, copy the coupon and click the button GET THE DISCOUNT. The link will take you directly to the product in the AliExpress app.
  2. Use Add to cart, not Buy nowOn the product card, scroll down and click Add to cart. Don’t use the Buy now button—this skips the cart, so later you won’t have a place to enter the coupon. Before that, make sure the variant is correct: color, version, and whether it ships from an EU warehouse.
  3. Continue to Checkout via the cartA pop-up will appear: Added to cart!—tap Check it out. If it disappeared, open the cart using the icon in the bottom-right corner. In the cart, check the product and quantity, then tap the red Checkout button. Only the items marked with the red circle are included.
  4. Fill in your address and card, then look for Promo codeIn the order summary, first enter the delivery address and payment card at the top. Below that, there’s a line Promo code — expand it with the arrow on the right.
Riadok Promo code v zhrnutí objednávky v aplikácii AliExpress
Look for this line under the address and payment method.
  5. Paste the code and confirm ApplyIn the field Promo code paste the copied code and click the black Apply. The code is case-sensitive and must not contain spaces.
Políčko Promo code s kódom a tlačidlom Apply v aplikácii AliExpress
Paste the code into the field and confirm by clicking the Apply button.
  6. Check your savings and payIn the section Summary expand the line Saved — you’ll see the applied coupon there as AliExpress coupons/codes. Only when Total is really lower, click Pay now.
Riadok Saved s uplatneným kupónom a znížený Total v aplikácii AliExpress
The applied coupon will show up in the Saved line and reduce the Total.
Apply the discount again in the order summary. After you click Pay now, you can’t add a coupon anymore. If Apply shows an error, the code has either expired, doesn’t apply to your item, or your order doesn’t meet the minimum amount.
Store Coupon also belongs in the same field. — a coupon from the seller itself, which isn’t always available and changes day to day. It can’t be combined with an AliExpress coupon, so try both and go with the one that gives you more. Coins are added automatically.

Our order + a quick test

As proper Xiaomi fans, we couldn’t miss the brand’s latest accessory in this category—a design-focused USB flash drive. We ordered it from the seller mentioned above via the AliExpress marketplace, and it was shipped to us on February 25 using duty-free AliExpress Standard Shipping.

Delivery was relatively fast—already on March 8, the SPS courier rang at our door with the package. The actual delivery took just 10 calendar days, which is an amazing result for shipping from China!

The Xiaomi Dual Interface U Disk comes in a simple paper package that shows the main specifications. We were immediately surprised by its size, because it’s truly a very compact USB flash drive. Thanks to its small dimensions and low weight, it’s also suitable for carrying, for example, on your keyring.

The build is made of metal and feels great in your hand. The advantage is that it includes both standard Type-A USB connectors and a modern Type-C port for smartphones, tablets, or ultrabooks. We tested the connection to a laptop using both connectors, and data transfer worked without issues via Type-C as well (as long as your laptop has a data-capable Type-C port).

The write speed is the same for both connectors. We measured an average around 50 MB/s. Folders with photos totaling just under 3 GB were copied in about a minute and a half. The USB flash drive also worked without problems with our editorial Xiaomi 12, which loaded the content immediately.

Xiaomi USB 3.2 flash drives have a premium design

The world of USB storage hasn’t changed much in recent years, and with growing capacity on smartphones and tablets, it’s fair to say that this segment has even stagnated. Still, there are users who prefer this kind of data transfer, and Xiaomi clearly understands that.

For this reason, Xiaomi is bringing new USB 3.2 flash drives to the market under the official name Xiaomi Dual Interface U Disk. They feature dual connectivity via the USB-A connector, but also USB-C. Plus, there are multiple capacities available, with write speeds up to 150 MB/s.

High transfer speed and excellent heat dissipation

At first glance, it may seem that Xiaomi only simply launched a standard USB drive. The opposite is true, though, and in fact it offers some very interesting features. One of them is the very construction technology – UDP. It’s characterized by offering smaller dimensions of the device itself, while not affecting the efficiency or performance of this device.

In fact, thanks to this construction, Xiaomi’s USB 3.2 flash drives are able to significantly improve their resistance to dust and fine water splashes. The casing—i.e., the flash drive’s surface finish—is made from a zinc alloy using a galvanic plating and sandblasting process.

This helps with better heat dissipation during use, as well as an ergonomic design that's more pleasant to touch when carrying. Despite the quality build, the USB flash drives weigh only 6.2 grams.

When it comes to the storage capacity the keys hide inside, you can choose between 64 GB and 128 GB. There’s no shortage of the high-speed protocol USB 3.2 Gen 1, which supports a total data read speed of up to 150 MB/s. Besides universal hardware connectivity, the software is also reasonably well supported—Windows 7 / 8 / 10 / 11, Mac OS 10.6 and newer, and Android 4.4 and newer (with OTG support).
