Amazfit T-Rex Ultra: New premium high-end watch with offline maps
The new smartwatches, the Amazfit T-Rex Ultra, feature a rugged body made from stainless steel. They measure 47.3 x 47.3 x 13.45 mm and weigh 89 grams. That’s also helped by the integrated strap made from polymer materials. The construction provides increased resistance to water and dust with a military certification at 10 ATM.
When it comes to the equipment, there’s a 1.39″ AMOLED display with a resolution of 454 x 454 pixels on the front. The resulting sharpness comes to 326 ppi. Amazfit also brings its upgraded sensor for monitoring your heart rate and oxygen, labeled BioTracker PPG.
GPS connectivity and up to 500 mAh battery
On the connectivity side, you get multiple location services, including a highly accurate dual-band GPS (6 satellite systems in total), as well as 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0. An integrated operating system Zepp OS 2.0 takes care of clear monitoring of your fitness activities and shows them on the watch face.
It also includes support for offline maps, which you can download directly to the watch via the Zepp app. Even when you’re out of signal, the watch can still navigate you.
Inside, there’s a 500 mAh battery that offers up to 20 days of battery life on a single charge. With active GPS use, the battery life drops to a continuous 28 hours of usage.
The latest Amazfit watches also include, among other things, a refined strength training mode. During strength training, they can automatically recognize up to 25 exercise types, count reps, sets, and rest time. After you finish your workout, the watches will clearly show in the app which parts of your body you trained the most.
In the retail package you’ll find the smartwatches themselves labeled Amazfit T-Rex Ultra, as well as original accessories directly from the manufacturer. This includes mainly a magnetic charging cable, a standard strap, and a brief user guide and first connection—traditionally, in English.
