Amazfit has officially unveiled the new Amazfit Balance 2 smart watch, so far only for the Chinese market. The second generation follows on from the previous Balance model introduced back in 2023 and brings several notable improvements.

Key highlights include extended battery life, better-quality materials, new sports features, and also a new operating system: Zepp OS 5. These smartwatches are currently available only in China, and their global availability has not been confirmed yet.
Larger body, sapphire glass, and a new design
Compared to the first-generation Amazfit Balance, the new model is slightly bigger. The case diameter increased from 46 mm to 47 mm, while it keeps the same 1.5-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 480 x 480 pixels. The biggest change, however, is the use of durable sapphire glass, which is more scratch-resistant than regular tempered glass.
The watches come in attractive color combinations with a black or orange leather strap and weigh 42 grams, which is slightly more than the original 35 grams.
Improved battery life and a new operating system
Amazfit Balance 2 includes a larger 658 mAh battery, which is an increase of nearly 200 mAh over the previous generation. The result is up to 21 days of battery life with normal use and 67 hours in GPS mode with power saving enabled.
The watch runs on a completely new platform, the Zepp OS 5, which enhances the overall user experience and performance, and also brings new features for athletes and health.
Hardware and new sports features
The new model uses the same chip as the popular Amazfit T-Rex 3 and also offers 32 GB of internal storage for saving music or maps. It also features dual speakers, a unique capability in this class—useful, for example, during Bluetooth calls. Balance 2 support offline maps and music playback without a phone, making them ideal for athletes and outdoor activities.
One interesting addition is a new golf feature with course navigation and swing analysis. Runners will appreciate expanded metrics like vertical oscillation or ground contact time. These parameters help optimize your running and prevent injuries. Standard sports modes and heart rate, stress, and blood oxygen tracking are also included.
Ready for diving
The Amazfit Balance 2 smart watch is certified for water resistance up to 10 ATM, meaning it can handle depths of up to 100 meters. In the future, it should also receive a dedicated diving mode via an OTA update, making it interesting for water sports as well. Thanks to its rugged body, certifications, and materials, the watch feels both premium and highly durable.
Price and availability
In China, Amazfit Balance 2 is sold for 1999 yuan, which is about €245. Currently, you can pre-order it in Chinese online stores like JD.com.
We don’t know yet when it will reach the global market, but if it does, we expect a slightly higher price than the original model, which launched at 199 €.
