The latest update for the watch models Amazfit GTS, GTR and GTR Lite has just arrived and brings features that will make many people happy. In addition to the advanced and at the same time improved REM sleep phase detection feature, improvements have also been made to the GPS module itself.
If you’re interested in using the new REM feature, you first need to enable it in the app settings Zepp. You’ll find the setting in the tab Heart rate monitoring – measurement settings – measurement method – sleep assistant. The measurement accuracy has also been improved, as well as support for monitoring in multiple positions while the watches are worn on your wrist.
More accurate GPS
The GPS module in the watches isn’t anything new, but the latest update significantly improves it. The main focus is on better accuracy of your location and also faster geolocation when doing physical movement activities outdoors.
Slowly but surely, the update is reaching different regions, while some Slovak fans have already received the update on their watches. If you haven’t received it yet, don’t worry—it shouldn’t take long for it to reach you as well.
It’s really pleasing to see that even after the recent introduction of the new smartwatch generation in the form of Amazfit GTS 2 and GTR 2, the watch manufacturer Amazfit – Huami is still taking care of older models through updates. With this exemplary approach, they can win even more fans and future customers.
Currently, the following watches have been updated, and you can easily check with the firmware version whether you already have the latest update installed. If needed, you can also try manual update search directly in the app.
- Amazfit GTR 47 mm – firmware version: 1.3.7.19
- Amazfit GTR 42 mm – firmware version: 1.2.06
- Amazfit GTS – firmware version: 0.1.1.19
- Amazfit GTR Lite – firmware version: 1.0.2.06
