Amazfit, as a brand under Xiaomi, isn’t slowing down—and after several current updates, it brings yet another surprise. After the intelligent watches Amazfit Bip S or the first earbuds Amazfit PowerBuds, a brand-new running treadmill belt is also coming.

However, it’s surprisingly well-equipped and will also nicely complement your smart home.

43″ display and JBL speakers

Huami, the company behind Amazfit products, took the CES 2020 exhibition really seriously, and among the novelties you can also find this running treadmill belt called Amazfit HomeStudio.

But this isn’t a standard running treadmill belt—in fact, it includes up to a 43″ screen, a pair of premium JBL speakers, and smart environment recognition via a ToF camera.

Thanks to its concept, the new device should deliver a completely new experience even for people who typically don’t run, turning exercise into a pleasant activity thanks to a comprehensive entertainment hub in the form of Amazfit HomeStudio.

This is how the company’s CEO imagines the presentation of the new product. The partnership with STUDIO Fitness brings a multifunctional running treadmill belt compatible with a wide range of sports and entertainment activities.

A powerful motor combined with up to 55 slats will offer comfort for users, who can use the running surface measuring up to 134.8 x 50.8 cm. HomeStudio provides a maximum speed of 20 km/h, plus an incline of up to 7 degrees (13% incline) and 10 levels with configurable options.

On the sides, there are two parallel bars that are strong enough to support our body weight. They also serve as resistance bars for strength training.

Top-notch features are complemented by a large 43″ display called Smart Gym HUB. Through this screen, you get more than 1000 lessons focused on proper training, step-by-step workouts with weights, yoga courses, and more sports content.

The screen is placed in front of the actual running treadmill belt and offers Full HD resolution. It’s also paired with a set of premium 20W JBL Premium speakers. A 3D camera at the top also scans your body, so with AI it advises you during workouts—and can even help prevent injuries.

Price and availability of the new product

We don’t know the official retail price yet, but given the rich equipment and modern functionality, we can expect a fairly high price tag. Availability on the market hasn’t been confirmed by the manufacturer either, but it’s expected to land around the end of January or in early February.
