The Mi 10 flagship smartphone series was launched only this month, and the first mentions of the next smartphone that could be added to it have already started appearing. We’re talking about a possible Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite or also a successor to the Chinese CC series – Xiaomi CC10.

First thoughts about the design and specs

No official sources from Xiaomi’s camp have come forward yet with information, so it’s not at all certain whether we’ll see successors to the successful models Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite this year (in China Xiaomi CC9). A leaker known by the nickname VolFiona brought a possible design for the rumored Mi 10 Lite model.

It seems the author based it on current trends, and the future will show how much his graphic render will match reality. Most likely, the Mi 10 Lite will feature a punch-hole display.

That’s currently in fashion, and manufacturers happily place the front selfie camera in the display punch. Thinner bezels around the display are also expected, which is hinted at by the ultra-thin top line with the earpiece speaker.

The render also brings an interesting design of the rear panel. The camera module is arranged in an innovative, color-distinguished circle, which may remotely resemble the design of the Redmi K30 model.

However, the camera sensors aren’t in the previously established layout line, but placed inside the circle. Overall, the model is shown with four sensors and an LED flash.

Regarding the specs, we can only guess. The model marked as Lite was part of both the 8th and 9th series of Mi smartphones, and it always represented the mid-range. Given this, we can estimate that a potential Mi 10 Lite could be equipped with a Snapdragon 7-series processor.

It could be the 720G, 730G, or even the latest and most powerful model 765G. Given the steadily increasing hardware demands of the camera sensors, the ideal choice would be the most powerful one, along with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.

Since 2020 is the year of the massive rollout of 5G mobile networks, we assume that the possible Mi 10 Lite will also be equipped with this technology. As we already mentioned, it’s all still just speculation, and we’ll have to wait a few more weeks for real information and confirmation about this class of smartphones.
