The cheapest smartphone in the latest mid-range lineup, Redmi Note 14, will get 6 years of software support! You probably won't find software support this long on a phone that may cost less than €200 anywhere else right now.

Up to 6 years of updates and guaranteed arrival of Android 18

Redmi Note 14 (4G) according to official reports will be supported until March 1, 2031, while the rest of the series has an earlier software support end date set at January 2029. It is not known whether support for these devices will be extended in the near future. So far, however, nothing suggests that.

Are you shopping on DHGate for the first time?

The process is in the DHgate mobile app. The Buy Now button takes you straight from the product page to checkout, and the coupon box is all the way at the very end of the page—which is why most people miss it and pay the full price.

1. Sign in and click Get the DiscountOn DHgate, create an account or log in—it also works via Google or Facebook. Then copy the coupon from our article and click the GET THE DISCOUNT button—it will open the exact product the code applies to.
2. On the product page, click Buy NowDHgate redirects you from the product straight to checkout Place Order, and the cart is skipped. So before you click, check the variant—color, memory, and version.
3. Fill in the address without diacritics and choose paymentAt the top of checkout, enter the delivery address—write your name, street, and city without accents and diacritics, otherwise the shipment may get stuck with the carrier. Then tap Select Payment Method. Also note the Ship from info—items shipped from the EU warehouse usually take days, and they don’t go through customs clearance.
4. Scroll all the way down to the Coupon code lineThe coupon box is at the very end of the page, below the offer Buy It Together. Look for the line Coupon code with the text Enter code here and tap it.

5. Paste the code and confirm ApplyA window will open Use Promo Code. Paste the copied code into it and tap the yellow Apply. Enter the code exactly, including uppercase letters and without spaces.

6. Check the discount and payYou’ll see the applied coupon in the Saved line — when you open it, it will show as DH Coupon. Only when Order Total really lower, tap Confirm to pay.

You only have about half an hour to pay. There’s a countdown on the Confirm to pay button — when it runs out, the order is canceled and you have to create it again. So enter the coupon before you start paying.

DHgate sometimes adds a discount automatically. The Saved line may already be filled in before you enter any code. After pressing Apply, compare the Order Total — if it didn’t go down, the code either wasn’t applied or it’s weaker than the discount DHgate gave you automatically.

It's therefore quite surprising that a phone with, technically, the weakest specs is getting so much attention. By the way, 6 years applies to security patches, which are very important if you plan to use the device for a very long time. OS version support will last 4 years.

You can therefore expect updates from the originally installed Android 14 to Android 18. You can find all the details about Xiaomi device software support on the trust.mi.com page.

Redmi Note 14 is a low-to-mid-range phone that represents a less equipped alternative to the model Redmi Note 14 5G, which the extended support does not apply to, and together with the rest of the series will get two major Android updates and security fixes will be released during 4 years.

The phone has a AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a peak brightness of 1800 nits, a 5500 mAh battery with 33 W charging support, a 108 MPx main camera, and a MediaTek Helio G99-Ultra chipset.

So if you are one of those users who like to keep even cheaper smartphones for a few years, Redmi Note 14 (4G) can be a really good choice, especially if you want a system that stays up to date and properly secured for a long time. The price-to-spec ratio is really good, and the extended support is an exceptionally noteworthy bonus.
