The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has another interesting surprise for us. Through its crowdfunding platform Xiaomi YouPin, it begins selling new fireproof NAS storage. Its capacity, moreover, reaches up to 8 TB.
New fireproof NAS storage on Xiaomi YouPin
The new product is G1 Memory Master, a cloud storage NAS system from the partner brand Xiaomi. This storage will be sold in multiple capacities, depending on individual needs and the amount of user data.
The NAS storage that Xiaomi brings to us on the YouPin platform is made of aluminum materials and measures 206 x 148 x 47 millimeters. The weight of this storage has stopped at 1370 grams, so any carrying isn’t a problem. What’s more, the product has been modified so that its construction is fireproof, and it also features reinforced corners with the ability to absorb impacts.
Smart photo management and many other features
Besides offering typical NAS storage functions from the partner brand Xiaomi—like creating backups, syncing with cloud services, or backup storage for recording from security cameras—each access can also log the user’s location highlighting and IP address.
What’s more, through the software you can intelligently manage all the photos you upload to this storage. Artificial intelligence will take care of sorting them into 12 different groups (such as people, animals, food, etc.).
The NAS storage also supports screen sharing via services like PLEX; support for 3.5″ and 2.5″ hard drives is not missing, and the kit also includes three Gigabit Etherner ports, which help balance data access load.
Price and availability of NAS storage
The fireproof NAS storage from the partner brand Xiaomi starts selling via the Xiaomi YouPin platform in a version without a hard drive, but also with a hard drive. These are the Chinese selling prices for the G1 Master: product
