At the beginning of 2021, Xiaomi unveiled its new flagship, the Xiaomi Mi 11. We even tested this premium smartphone in the editorial office and we’re currently using it actively.
Undoubtedly, it’s an excellent phone packed with the latest technological features, but there’s always room to improve. That’s also proven by the latest leaks about the expected successor — Xiaomi Mi 12.
Well-loaded specs on the Xiaomi Mi 12
Not long ago, a smartphone with the code name 2112123AC appeared in Chinese certification, and everything suggests it’s indeed a Xiaomi Mi 12 phone. As for the specs themselves, they look really great.
Under the hood, the device will house an as-yet-unannounced processor from American Qualcomm — Snapdragon 895. This chipset will likely make its debut alongside a new flagship with model number 12.
The cameras are also interesting. The main sensor should offer a resolution of up to 200 MPx, while the sensor size itself should be as much as 1″. For now, a 1-inch sensor is found only in the Shark Aquos R6, which is intended for the domestic (Japanese) market.
The front will be covered by a display with 2K resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. These are relatively common specs by today’s standards, but not quite typical is the LTPO technology, which can dynamically adjust the refresh rate in the 1–120 Hz range—saving battery effectively.
Finally, we can look forward to ultra-fast wired and wireless charging. All these specs really look great, but we’ll have to wait a bit longer for an official confirmation—or denial.
