The Xiaomi 13 series is already available on the global market, but now attention will be focused on the lighter models of the T series. The Xiaomi 13T Pro smartphone was spotted in the IMEI database.
Xiaomi 12T was a truly successful series. Xiaomi delivered solid specs for a very fair price—just look at the Xiaomi 12T Pro model, which had a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and a 200-megapixel main camera.
Same model for two markets
Xiaomi wants to build on this success with the Xiaomi 13T series as well. What’s interesting is that Xiaomi 13T Pro will be sold in China as Redmi K60 Ultra.
Xiaomi 13T Pro has the model number 23078PND5G, where the ending letter G indicates the model for the global market. Redmi K60 Ultra comes with the model number 23078RKD5C, where the ending letter C indicates the model for the domestic Chinese market.
The launch might happen as early as summer
The starting numbers 2307 suggest that the smartphones could be released in July 2023. However, the Xiaomi 12T series was launched a bit later. It could also be that Redmi is unveiled in China first, and Xiaomi follows on the global market after some time.
The smartphones have the codename corot. The IMEI also suggests that Xiaomi will equip these phones with a flagship processor from MediaTek. Specifically, it will be the Dimensity 9200 model.
This is a 4-nanometer processor with 5G support and genuinely high performance. It’s also more power-efficient, and it doesn’t lack support for the latest Wi‑Fi 7 standard. The main camera resolution is supported up to 320MP.
A key model for Xiaomi will be the photo phone 13 Ultra, which should be unveiled later this month and will go all-in on what this Chinese giant can currently produce at its best.
