The Redmi Note 14 smartphone series is starting to take clear shape, and it has already been spotted in the IMEI database, pointing to global availability. At least three models that will be launched on the Chinese market will also make their way to Europe, where they will form the foundation of the new generation of the Redmi Note lineup. Various leaks are gradually coming to light, hinting that these smartphones will be well-equipped.
First specs of the expected Redmi Note 14 Pro
Digital Chat Station, a popular Weibo tipster, has shared the first information about the Redmi Note 14 Pro. According to these leaks, the phone will feature a 50MP main sensor, but without a telephoto lens on the back. In addition, it will have a curved 1.5K AMOLED display. These new models have the potential to bring major improvements compared to their predecessors.
The successors of the Redmi Note 13 series are expected to hit the market in about 3 months. While Xiaomi hasn’t officially confirmed anything yet, some details about the Redmi Note 14 Pro have already surfaced, shared by the Digital Chat Station profile—an established Weibo tipster.
Leaks suggest that the rear cameras will be placed in the center. Note 14 Pro will be equipped with a 50MP main camera. For comparison, Note 13 Pro 5G had a 200MP main sensor on the back.
Despite the lower megapixel count, we can expect the camera to take better-quality photos. Digital Chat Station didn’t specify which exact sensor will be used, but according to other sources, it could be Sony’s Lytia LYT-600.
Even though the 50MP main sensor for the Redmi Note 14 Pro is good news, the downside is that, according to the tipster, the phone will not come with a telephoto lens, similar to its predecessor. Xiaomi used a 200MP sensor with an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro sensor in the Note 13 Pro 5G model.
Besides these details about the main camera, Digital Chat Station also said that Note 14 Pro will have a 1.5K display. This screen is reportedly curved with a central cutout. Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G has similar display specs, so you probably won’t see major changes in this regard.
That’s all the information the Weibo tipster has shared so far. Some sources say that, when it comes to the chipset, it will use the Snapdragon 8s, 3rd generation, similar to the POCO F6 model. The new series has already appeared in the IMEI database, suggesting a possible launch around September this year, which isn’t surprising, since Redmi Note 13 Pro was launched in September last year in China.
