The global version of MIUI 13 has already been officially announced. When can you expect the update?

We didn’t have to wait long and soon we’ll get it as well. We’re talking about the global version of Xiaomi’s custom skin. MIUI 13 should be unveiled very soon—right for the global market.

Global launch soon

As you already know, at the end of December Xiaomi unveiled alongside the Xiaomi 12 lineup also the MIUI 13 custom skin. It came with several improvements, and people started discussing when this version will also reach the global market.

It’s usually the case that the global version gets a slightly cut-down variant, which doesn’t include all the features available in the Chinese version. That’s why we’re very curious about what we’ll be missing this time.

MIUI 13 alongside Redmi Note 11?

Not long ago, we learned that Redmi will soon unveil the global versions of the Redmi Note 11 series. It will happen on January 26. That’s why there are speculations as to whether Xiaomi and Redmi won’t combine this event and whether we’ll also see the MIUI 13 skin there.

There’s also a second possibility: that the global version of MIUI 13 will arrive together with the global versions of smartphones from the Xiaomi 12 series. There’s almost no information about this presentation yet, but we know that they will definitely reach the global market.

The presentation itself hasn’t happened yet, but Xiaomi has confirmed the models that will get MIUI 13 among the first ones. They include these smartphones:

• Xiaomi Mi 11, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11i, Mi 11X, Mi 11X Pro, Mi 11 Lite 5G, Mi 11 Lite 4G, Xiaomi 11 Lite NE
• Xiaomi 11T, Xiaomi 11T Pro
• Redmi 10, Redmi 10 Prime, Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 Pro, Redmi Note 10 Pro Max, Redmi Note 10 JE
• Redmi Note 8 (2021)
• XiaomiPad 5

In addition, POCO smartphones are also in the mix—specifically POCO F3, POCO X3 NFC, and POCO X3 Pro—because they appeared in the internal MIUI code.

By the way, we’ve already managed to test the new MIUI 13 skin on our website, and we were genuinely impressed. So don’t hesitate and read our full review.
