Everything that a quality smartwatch should have

High-quality smartwatches today need to meet various requirements. The Haylou RS3 in this respect doesn’t fall short. It all starts with the display. It’s AMOLED, round, and offers a resolution of 390 x 390 pixels on a 1.2″ diagonal. That means it’s sharp enough to show a nicely crisp image.

The body has increased water resistance (5 ATM), and swimming won’t be a problem either. Swimming is one of the 14 sports that the watch can track. This is supported by the built-in GPS receiver, so if you plan to go running with the watch, you can comfortably leave your smartphone at home. Besides sports performance, you can also rely on health tracking.

You get blood oxygen level monitoring (SpO2). Continuous heart rate monitoring and automatic sleep tracking are a given. The watch design is both attractive and sufficiently understated. The display is, of course, glass, and the body is made of aluminum. To control it, you’ll use not only the touchscreen display but also two hardware buttons placed on the right side of the watch.

Fully customizable watch faces, with the option to download more

One of the most important parts of the user interface is watch faces. The manufacturer says they’re fully customizable. That means you can choose what information you want to display on them. If the preinstalled options aren’t enough, you can download additional ones from the store.

Receiving smartphone notifications is a given. Worth mentioning is the weather forecast feature, plus you can control music directly from the watch. And if you don’t know exactly where your smartphone is, the watch can make it ring.

Despite the many features, the manufacturer states great battery life. With normal daily use, you can rely on 12 days without charging. With light use, the manufacturer lists up to 21 days of battery life.
