The Windows operating system has been with us since year 1985, and today computers, including ones from Xiaomi or Redmi, are running on Windows 10. Just recently Microsoft released a huge update called Windows 10 May 2020 Update, bringing a lot of new features.

In this article, we’ll look not only at the new features, but we’ll also show you tips on how to get the new version for the lowest price on the market. There are also practical Office bundles and antivirus programs to protect your data and your entire PC.

Windows 10 May 2020 Update with practical new features

Windows 10 May 2020 Update, or 2004, which is the number of the new version, brings practical updates for users. Every user of this system can install the new update, and it should take only a few minutes.

Here’s the main list of novelties in the new Windows 10 version according to Microsoft:

  • Cortana: Microsoft says Cortana is becoming a “personal productivity assistant” that can help you use Microsoft apps 365. Cortana will be disconnected from the taskbar, so you can move it or change its size like any other app. With the voice assistant, you can open apps and adjust settings, such as brightness. The improved email feature lets you use Cortana to create emails (for example, you just need to say: “Send an email to Julie and let her know I’m running late.” or “Show me the emails from Jeff”).
  • Faster searching: Four quick search options have been added to search in the main bar for easier access: weather, the top news, today in your history, and new movies.
  • Kaomojis: The keyboard shortcut will get new kaomoji – like ¯ \ _ (ツ) _ / ¯
  • Virtual desktops: Virtual desktops can now be renamed, so you no longer have to struggle with default system names like Desktop 1.
  • Bluetooth pairing: Pairing Bluetooth devices is now easier — it happens via notifications, so if you want to finish pairing, you don’t need to go into the Settings app. You’ll simply get an automatic notification that a new nearby device is ready to pair.
  • New DirectX 12 Ultimate features deliver smoother graphics for PC games.
  • GPU temperature display in Task Manager
  • Notepad app improvements: new search / replace feature, text zoom using keyboard shortcuts Ctrl + Plus, Ctrl + Minus and Ctrl + MouseWheel, and more improvements

If you want to install the new Windows 10 May 2020 Update, you just need to check that it’s available via the Windows Update service. Go to Windows system Settings > Update and security > Windows Update > Check for updates.
