Our favorite Chinese tech giant Xiaomi is already preparing the next generation of its flagship model Xiaomi 15. And we already know the first leaks of the technical specs.
Xiaomi 15: Compact display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4
We’re still a few months away from the release of the Xiaomi 15 flagship lineup. But the first equipment details have already started appearing on the profiles of well-known internet tipsters. Today, we’ll walk you through the first key pieces of information we know.
The equipment details were shared by a tipster nicknamed Smart Pikachu on his profile on the Chinese social network Weibo. The post contains various details about the flagship series.
For example, it reveals that the entire Xiaomi 15 lineup will be equipped with the latest flagship chipset. It will be a new generation of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, though it hasn’t been unveiled yet. However, the information matches previous leaks online.
Back in December 2023, we saw more information—this time from the workshop of the well-known tipster Digital Chat Station. He claims the base model of Xiaomi 15 should come with a compact OLED display with a diagonal of 6.36″ and a high refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.
1,5 Screen resolution and the addition already in October 2024?
Smart Pikachu counters the claim that the base model’s display could offer 1.5K resolution. In addition, mass production of the entire Xiaomi 15 series—regardless of how many models it includes—could begin as early as September 2024.
If this is confirmed, the first device shipments could start within October 2024. Of course, we’re talking about the Chinese version, which is typically unveiled earlier than the global release.
The previous Xiaomi 14 series was first introduced in China in October 2023. From that date, we can also infer the arrival of flagship ships from the new generation. However, it’s important to note that these are still unconfirmed and unverified details. All important statements from Xiaomi will be brought to you in our upcoming articles.
