The Redmi company, as a subsidiary brand of the Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi, is already preparing its upcoming flagship smartphones branded as Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro. We already know the first leaks of information, i.e. leaks of the phones’ prices.

Redmi K40 and K40 Pro: Leaked prices of the flagship smartphones

Just in a few days, specifically on February 25, 2021, the Redmi subsidiary brand will unveil its new flagship smartphone series, branded as Redmi K40. It will offer not only very solid specs, but also people-friendly, meaning fairly low retail prices in the Chinese market.

The Chinese manufacturer also didn’t skimp on production costs, based on leaks about the display panel that will be used. The Redmi K40 Pro model should bring exciting features and, most importantly, an uncompromising AMOLED display on the same level as the flagship Xiaomi Mi 11 model.

Even so, the pair of new smartphones should get a fair price. A new leak from the XIAOMIUI source reveals the expected selling prices even before the official launch—and they’re quite low compared to flagship devices. Many competitors, as well as fans in Europe, will only be able to envy these amounts.

Price starts below 300 €

Based on available information, the retail price of the Redmi K40 smartphone with a 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage configuration will start at 2199 Chinese yuan. This matches the amount that Chinese Xiaomi promised a few weeks ago. In the current conversion, that’s approximately 279 € / 339 USD.

The slightly better-equipped Redmi K40 Pro model will feature an uncompromising AMOLED panel, but it will probably also come with the flagship 5 nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G processor. Its price will be higher, but it will still be below the Mi 11 flagship model. It will be a figure starting from 3199 Chinese yuan, which converts to 406 € / 493 USD.

Even so, these are still unofficial details. We’ll have to wait until the official presentation of the smartphones to know the exact figures. On our market, prices should go up—also in cases where they’re globally available under the name POCO F3 Pro or something similar.
