Most fans of the Chinese giant Xiaomi already know the premium Mi Mix smartphone line well. Models from the Mi Mix series offered the very best specs from the very best.
The last smartphone introduced in the Mi Mix lineup was the Mi Mix Alpha. It was only a concept meant for no commercial sales. Since then, enough time has passed and information about the long-awaited successor Mi Mix 4 has surfaced.
Premium and innovative
We wrote about the possible arrival of the Mi Mix 4 smartphone through the previous article. In it, we briefly shared some of the parameters the new device should have. We weren’t far from the truth.
The front of the smartphone should feature an 180°-curved display from both sides. Its resolution should be 2K and the refresh rate 120 Hz. Not only the display—this new model wants to take on the flagship Huawei P40 Pro directly.
Cameras are what model P40 Pro truly perfected. With the Mi Mix 4 model, Xiaomi wants to follow in its footsteps, and is therefore bringing a powerful camera sensor configuration.
From the available product posters, we know that the main sensor role here will be handled by a sensor with a resolution of 150 MPx. It will be backed by a wide-angle lens with a resolution 40 MPx, a periscope lens with 120x zoom, and a TOF sensor.
OIS implementation in a flagship smartphone will delight, but won’t surprise anyone. What could pleasantly surprise, though, is the 40 MPx selfie camera, which will most likely be located beneath the display itself.
More images reveal that the heart of the smartphone will be the Snapdragon 875 processor from Qualcomm. This chipset hasn’t been unveiled yet, but considering the Mi Mix 4 is not coming that far off, it’s very likely it will be announced by then.
Great news includes support for the incredible 100 W wired charging, complemented by 65 W wireless. From the available specs, it’s clear to everyone that Mi Mix 4 will once again bring Mi Mix’s luxury line back to life after a long stretch.
