A whole bunch of new useful features are coming to the popular MIUI overlay like clockwork. Even though the system already includes all kinds of gadgets, from now on we can look forward to a feature that will alert you to slow charging.
More precisely, this new update focuses on detecting the maximum possible charging power your smartphone needs, so that if charging is less powerful, the feature will warn you about the possibility of charging faster.
Another great feature in MIUI
This useful feature is already being actively tested in a closed Chinese beta ROM MIUI 12, version 20.10.27. Thanks to the internet, we already have screenshots showing what this novelty looks like in real life.
As you can see in the screenshot above, the new MIUI 12 feature will notify you about slow charging of your smartphone with a pop-up window. The feature is based on the maximum supported charging power, which isn’t being used at that moment.
In the smaller text, it says that the issue can be caused either by a bad connection or by a non-original or old adapter or cable. There’s also the classic option to disable the display of the pop-up window.
Chinese manufacturers are pushing charging power at rocket speed. 30 W charging has become the usual standard, and we’re slowly but surely getting to 65 W. The logic behind this feature makes even more sense when you consider that Xiaomi recently introduced 100 W charging technology.
Owners of newer smartphones that support fast charging will especially appreciate a new feature that will sooner or later appear in the global MIUI 12 version. For now, we just have to wait until the novelty becomes available globally.
